“Excellent service from John at reception was helpful and offered a number of suggestions. I stayed two nights and mostly walked to everything I needed to attend. The Lismore Gateway Motel was a real find that I wasn't expecting.”

“The Ramada was a very pleasant surprise. We have been to Ballina several times but have never stayed. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. So good we went back another night. Great restaurants within walking distance and great shops in the town. We will definitely be back. Would highly recommend the Wharf Restaurant and Bar for dinner, lunch or breakfast. ”

“Stay one night Christmas eve , and left on 25/12 ,it was Christmas holiday, the city was so quiet, even we could not find any restaurant for our dinner.lucky we find one and only one in the down town the chinese express shop. And the hotel in charge tell us,he would leave on 24 /12 night and no body staff left.told us to leave the key while check out, just ok. it was quiet unbelieve that no in charge staff on duty to manage the hotel. so I took experience that no next time coming on this date.”

“The rooms were great. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable, staff were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. The shower also had amazing pressure. I loved that the town centre was only a few streets away. We stayed at another hotel after Avlon Gardens with a higher star rating and Avlon put it to shame. I highly recommend Avlon to anyone travelling to Ballina.”

“A small single room-in-room for Triple Travelers. There was a small swimming pool outside the room. When it was a bit chilly during the Christmas of 2017, the pool was not in serviceable condition.”
