My husband and I booked two nights to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We booked this place because of the quaint, cozy vibe portrayed in the listing. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of care put into this cabin that has potential to be quaint and cozy. There were ants crawling in every room, dead flies hanging from webs in the kitchen, the bathroom floor was mushy, black, and bubbled from apparent water damage, the covering on the kitchen chairs was ripped, the bathroom wall had a spot approximately 12x12" that was an unfinished drywall repair, curtain rod in the bedroom had been pulled loose and was just propped up on top of the headboard, cute battery-operated candles in the bedroom and none of them in working order, "spa" shoes for the hot tub had obviously been worn by many previous guests and they were absolutely filthy, old used kitchen scrubber and sponges were black and had dried food stuck to them from previous guests. We were disappointed when we first arrived but when we were about to make breakfast the next morning and saw ants crawling on the kitchen counter and dead flies hanging from the ceiling we decided we could not stay, packed our stuff and left without eating or showering. I emailed the owner who was kind enough to refund one night's fees but didn't respond when I requested a refund on the cleaning fee, nor did she refund half of the service fee or the lodging tax.
