「Two nights family stay with 7yo daughter. Ideally placed just out of Westport with quiet setting and crystal clear night skies. We hit the weather jackpot able to walk around the property and spend some time on the sunny deck. Clean warm house and very generous hosts. Would highly recommend. 」

「Bach is located right by the Kawatiri trail, with cafe/restaurant across the road. The bach is small but warm and comfortable, with everything you need, and a great shower!」

「Traveling with my parents and weren’t sure how they would like staying in a yurt but they loved it! More lux than I would’ve imagined! Lovely view of the Tasman sea, as well as a walkway along the cliffs and one down to the sand. We got there right as the sun was setting and it was beautiful. Definitely recommend getting there before sunset to be able to relax and watch it. Super amazing stargazing of the milky way at night! We only stayed one night, if we had more time on our trip we would have...

「A bit of a surprise to find we (4) were sharing the house with the owners, plus a Canadian. We had thought that our 4 were going to have a bedroom each, as per the BookaBach description of the property. Two guys had to share a room.The owners were a delightful, very helpful Chinese couple, who made us welcome and accommodated our Ebikes in their garage to recharge. 」

「A lovely place to stay with a group. You could hear the waves at night and the overly friendly wekas meant you had to be careful not to leave doors open. The whole campground was well maintained and the Cow Shed cafe a delight.」

「Super well stocked off grid cabin, overlooking a valley. Hammocks and bbq on deck with lots of cooking supplies. Cabin is beautifully decorated with books and games. Trails down to the river and a beautiful look out spot! Sunset - gorgeous! Really loved it! Host warm and friendly and has a home close by. One of my favorite stays on the South Island! 」

「We had the most restful stay in this cute retro bach. Everything we needed was provided. Adored the outdoor fire and bath. The covered outdoor eating area was perfect for rainy day dining. Extremely cosy indoors with fire. Even managed a wave from the train driver passing by!!!!!Highly recommend for a getaway. 」

「Awesome little stopover property! Although the heat inside the bus is largely dictated by the tempterature outside, the hosts have fans/heaters to combat this. The outdoor shower is awesome, and everything in town (dinner, groceries, swimming) is walkable!」
