Spring Break

Everything was perfect for our stay.. Lots of rooms and in a great location. Steps from the beach. Loved the large pool and ping pong table outside. Check in was so easy and we enjoyed everything. Thanks so much. We even got to send a video to the owner, Mr Gurley. The pool guy was exceptional and was so nice.

Great beach stay

This property was great and worked well for my family (5) and my sis-in-laws family (6). The location is great, with access to the private beach just a 2 min walk away. The pool was perfect for the kids and the kitchen amply stocked. Would stay here again!

Great family home

Crystal Vista was laid out perfectly for our large family. It really is just a short walk to the beach! That outdoor entertainment area but the ping-pong table and large dining table was perfect for all of us gather together .

Great stay - close to the beach!

This was our second time staying in this area and we were thrilled to discover how easily accessible the beach was from this house. We had 8 adults and 12 kids (ages 6mo-9yo) and while we rented a golf cart, it was definitely not necessary to access the beach. The house was clean and exactly as advertised - several large walk-in closets that worked well for pack n plays. The floor plan would actually be perfect for a slightly older group of kids because the downstairs living area made a great hangout space, ours just weren't quite old enough to all be on another floor unsupervised.

Great Location w/ Plenty of Space

I recently rented this house for a 15-person bachelorette party and it was honestly an amazing space. Great location and outdoor area, only steps from the beach. My ONLY complaint (which I didn't want to reflect in the rating) is that I've never dealt with a rental property that is so strict with early check ins. When they say no early check in is allowed, there is absolutely zero exceptions, even if there is no one staying at the house the night prior. Maybe I was wrong to assume they could potentially accommodate even an hour early, but please do not book this house if you have guests coming in who want a place to stay before 4:00 pm.

Wonderful Home...great location

Our large family/friends stayed in Crystal Vista for a week. We loved the location, the decor is beautiful and the beach access was great! Our favorite part was the amazing patio area beside the pool. We spent every evening sitting there, playing cards, talking and laughing together as some of kids splashed in the pool or played table tennis. Most of the beds were comfortable. Having a living area on each floor was also a bonus! The only drawback is the tight parking and lack of mirrors in the house. I know the mirror thing sounds silly, but when you have that many people getting ready for dinner or evening activities, mirrors in the bedrooms would be VERY helpful!!!!!!!! Check-in was easy! Communication was good. The neighborhood was great!!!!! We loved our week in Crystal Vista!!!!!!

Crystal Vista

We all enjoyed our stay in Crystal Vista, it has a very spacious layout and a great location to easily access the beach. The only thing that we did not like was the parking. For a house that size to hold that many guest there is not enough parking. We had 4 diesel pick ups and the parking was very limited and tight. We found ourselves having to move at least one vehicle out to the front every day just so we could get in and out of the house easier but we weren’t allowed to leave the vehicles parked over night out front which made things a little difficult. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and our time away!

2022 Family Vaca

This house was clean & close to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of pots/pans - of ALL sizes, dishes, glassware/plastic cups. The private pool was HUGE, and the children/adults loved it. The house was perfect for us! If I had one complaint it would be with the beach service. We have been visiting Destin for 10 years for our family vacation and our biggest problem every year is beach related. A few years ago a lot of beach went private, so it is really nice that some homeowners provide a beach set up, 2 chairs/umbrella, and this property does. As we have a big family, 19, and lots of fair skinned/some redheads, we usually rent an extra set up, anywhere from $70 to $100 this year, and put our canopy up. Also, we rent back row, so as not to block anyones view. This year we were told no canopies were allowed, supposedly per request of the 2 property owners adjacent to the beach. We could walk a block or 2 to the public beach and put the canopy up. We rented near this private access and have done so for 4 years now, so with the little kids we can come back & forth easily. When you have 19 people 1 or even 2 set ups do not provide enough shade. We rented the extra set up, but some of the family just didn't come to the beach but twice as they couldn't handle the sun. This is something the homeowners probably have no control over, but they might be able to fight for some beach rights as Destin has SO MANY HOUSES to rent, & those homeowners are paying taxes, & bringing in a lot of revenue for the city. Just a suggestion for check in. You ask that we let you know when we are out of the house on Saturday so housekeeping can come in. It would be nice to have an e-mail or text that the house is ready for check in. Due to the distance people travel, it is not easy to predict arrival time, and sitting in the car in Florida temperatures is not an option. If available earlier it would be nice to know. In our case every house we have rented up to this one, they have notified us. Thanks for letting us make some great memories!

Family place

The property worked well for 14 adults and two youngsters. Plenty of room for all. The sleeper sofas are not very comfortable but were adequate. It was a good location and everyone enjoyed the beach.

Only complaint is the air conditioning thermostats seemed to have a hold timer set and increased temperature at night and it got a little warmer than we prefer at night but overall great stay

Perfect!

This was a great place to celebrate my 60th bday! We had 12 adults and plenty of room! Everyone had their own bedroom, and there's plenty of bathrooms. Beds were comfortable except for the bunk beds. The house was very clean and decorated nicely. I think the only thing we needed that they didn't have was salt & pepper. The pool was awesome, but we had to pay $100 per day to heat it, but it was like bath water! Location is great....close to everything. Beach of course is beautiful! We never ran out of toilet paper or paper towels, but did have to buy garbage bags. We did a lot of drinking out by the pool and never had a noise complaint.
