Average rental, comfortable for 2 families
The photos of this property make it appear much brighter, newer and cleaner than it actually is. Furniture shown is accurate, but it's well used and worn out. Kitchen appliances are of poor quality, especially dishwasher. Kitchen is also poorly outfitted with basic dishes, we had to hand wash silverware after each meal as there wasn't enough to get 8 of us through. Location is great for beach access, but it backs to a large commercial property where there is a lot of noise from delivery trucks. Upon arrival our check in code didn't work and once we were in, the cleanliness of the property was not spectacular. On the positive side, the management company and local crews were easy to get ahold of and responsive to our complaints.

Fun for the Family
Great spot, was nice that we were able to heat the pool (extra fee) for the week we were there when it was a little chilly. It allowed the kids to enjoy their time every day.

We had an amazing time visiting Florida this year! This house was in a convenient location, close to shopping and dining. The home was “as described” and offered all the amenities that we needed.

Cute beach house
The house was bigger than it shows in the photos. We had 4 adults and 3 kids under 9 and had more than enough space. The kids loved the pool. It’s truly a 5 minute walk to the beach which was so nice. We did purchase a wagon to carry all of our beach gear. I would say we could have used more washcloths and towels. I had to do a couple loads of laundry just so we had washcloths to shower with. Other than that it was great. House was clean.

Anniversary/Birthday Vacation
We stayed for 6 days during the last week of August. This was our first time in Destin so we relied on other’s comments regarding the Marina property. Let me just say that we absolutely loved staying here. Marina is very close to the beach…just a short walk. The pool is fantastic & pool floats were provided. The house provided everything we needed. All we did was make a quick stop at the grocery store to buy items for grilling, which was fantastic. The Emerald Coast highway is just down the street and you can find any place you need; restaurants, shops, liquor stores, etc. We loved our stay here & will definitely stay again. This was also the best time of year to stay - after school was back in session! And, the AvantStay team is great and will respond very quickly to any needs or requests.

Great stay in Destin
We really loved the place! It was spacious and quiet! The Pool area was very nice! The beach is just a short walk away, get there early to get a spot close to the water! Everything was organized and well put together! Publix is right down the street, plenty of restaurants near the house! Could not ask for a better place to stay at the beach!

Nice house, but…
Pros: House was nice and clean. Property managers were great, always got back to me quickly for any questions I had. Pool was nice, and they provided a lot of lounge floats. The grill was brand new and worked great. Cons: Photos of the property are a little misleading, backyard wasn’t near as big as it looked in pictures. The biggest issue was the noise from the condos across the street. Every morning around 5:30 or 6:00 their large trash dumpster is emptied, and food delivery trucks arrive. You will be awakened to the beep, beep, beep, of the trucks backing up to unload. It was extremely noisy most of the day, so relaxing by the pool was out. As advertised, it is close to public beach access, however, that public beach is basically the size of a postage stamp and you can’t fit in anywhere unless you want to get up at 5:00 a.m. to go set up your spot. There were not enough bath rags, towels, etc. unless you want to do laundry everyday which isn’t something I wanted to do on vacation. Also not enough utensils, we had to wash them between each meal in order to have enough for the next meal. For as much as we paid for the home, we was pretty disappointed.

Destin first timers
This property was perfect for my family. From my mom to my daughter, it suited us all. We spent our mornings at the beach which was just a short walk from the house and the evenings exploring and hanging by the pool. We would definitely stay here again.

It's the little things
While overall a positive experience we definitely had several issues during the stay. Let's start with the positive stuff though. Everything was VERY clean. Zero issues there. Beds were comfortable! Plenty of towels for everyone. Everything about the rental process was easy. Great location! Pool cleaner came twice while we were there. But here were the things that weren't so good or at least weren't what was listed. The patio only has one umbrella, and it was broken at that (the canopy was ripped in two of the spoke "pockets"). There was patio furniture in the listing that doesn't exist (a couch, chair, and coffee table under the awning). The grill igniter doesn't work which makes you choose between not using the grill or lighting it with a lighter, which isn't the safest option. One of the lounge chairs was broken. The light in the refrigerator was out. The handle on the kitchen faucet kept falling off. Several blinds were broken and either didn't close, only closed one way, didn't open, or had a broken handle to open/close it. The couch had some broken springs. The coffee maker was missing the basket. Refrigerator stopped making ice at one point. Someone did come fix it though. Dishwasher rack was missing a wheel which made it really difficult to open and close. WiFi signal was very weak. Apps on the main TV kept crashing - it's possible this was because of the terrible WiFi signal but hard to say. I would rent from AvantStay again as everything they were involved with was easy but this particular property needs some fixes.

Great space to enjoy the area
The house was perfect size to accommodate our two small families for spring break. Quiet neighborhood that allowed for morning walks with the kids, yet close to some of the ‘activities’ in Destin. Wished the owner provided a code to both the front door and back as we found the front access to be more appealing for walks with the kids. We definitely would come back.

Spring Break noise
I loved the property we stayed during spring break. However, I thought the pool was heated. It wasn’t. So we were unable to enjoy the pool. We had college kids on both sides of us celebrating spring break. They would finally settle down around 3 am. The walk to the beach was short and enjoyed the beach with my family. All in all it was a great place to stay but will not rebook during spring break. Will be great for vacation later in the summer!

Cute Beach House
Sometimes when you rent a property, you really do have to supply everything yourself. What was unique about this cottage is that there was an abundance of supplies from towels, to dish soap, laundry detergent, plastic garbage bags. The beds and other furniture were very comfortable. Would stay there again.

Friends spring break
All rooms are very separated and give each couple or person staying in them a lot of privacy. The neighborhood is great and pool was awesome to have on site. The beds were a good size but none were comfortable. All have old mattress that are thin and need replacing. The house was overall great. The beds would be the only item that would need adjusting. Highly recommend the property for groups of friends or families.

Summer Vacation
Each summer I try to do a week long vacation at the beach with my family. This place was perfect for our needs. Stores and restaurants are a short drive, getting to the public beach is a walkable distance for a 5 year old. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was very comfortable. It is located close to Destin area attractions including the beach. We enjoyed the back yard space and pool. On our trip there were a lot of days with double red flags (no swimming) at the beach. Having the pool made our trip still enjoyable. Our coffee machine was broken. The management company sent over a new coffee maker the same day. We were impressed with the response time and with the house.

Little slice of paradise

Close to beach, clean and cute
The property managers were very helpful with booking and responded to all questions quickly. The actual property was easy to get to, well put together, and was full of amenities (WiFi, washer/ dryer with soap, parking, towels, dishes, pots/pans, pack n play, high chair, shampoo/body wash, tons of seating, etc). The walk to the beach was easy. The 4 bedrooms were great. The kid/bunk bed room was close to the backdoor (by the pool) which made me nervous with small children so we just put a large chair by it at night just in case. Overall this is an excellent place to stay!

Good location but needs some TLC
Great location great property manager but the inside needs some work done. Carpeting is very dirty in bedroom downstairs. Stains on the dresser in downstairs bedroom. Paint chipping off the walls throughout the house. Furniture is peeling (table in family room)and needs to be replaced. Internet and television service is very bad. This house is in a great location but is run down needs to be updated. Management company is great the toilet was flooding in the bathroom and I called and they had somebody out within a half an hour and fixed it.

Great Location and Wonderful Pool
We enjoyed our stay very much! We came late February so the heated pool was fabulous although a little expensive ($100 per day - other places only charge $40-$50 a day) as it’s additional to the rental cost. But we are glad we did it. Close to beach, only 1-2 blocks to walk. Beach chairs were provided. Wifi wasn’t good at all! Kids had online live school and my husband had to work a bit and the wifi was not sufficient as it’s not a secured network. Other than that, no complaints. Thanks for a nice getaway.

Almost Perfect
The location(seconds from grocery store), the pool(heater was working), the size of the home, the inside decor were all fabulous. Looks like new carpet was recently put in the bedrooms and upstairs area. The kitchen had all the gadgets. Water pressure in showers were great. There were a few things(easy fixes) that I spoke with property manager about and they assured me they would be addressed before the next guests.

Great place near the beach
Overall great experience. The back door wouldn't close all the way when we got there but once communicated to the host, they immediately sent someone out to fix it. Walking distance from the beach in an area with good vibes.

Super cute!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights in April 2021 and we had a great time! The house was clean and exactly as pictured. I work in real estate and know how much pictures can be deceiving, so this was important to me & definitely set the tone of our stay! The house was stocked with plenty of towels, kitchen things, & beach stuff. (We purchased a canopy tent and left it there for the next guests- you’re welcome! 😉). The state park beach is a 4 min drive down the road, but die days you don’t want to leave the pool is great! It’s small, but perfectly refreshing (not heated, FYI). The only downfall was that the downstairs toilet closest to the pool didn’t work, so that was a little inconvenient if you were swimming and had to go, however there were only 2 of us staying so it wasn’t a huge deal. The king bed in the master was very comfy. The Grown Alchemist toiletries were such a nice high-end surprise and perfect because I forgot my shampoo & conditioner! Also loved having a washer/ dryer so we could wash our beach towels and swimsuits. Overall this was a wonderful private home and we had so much fun! We would definitely stay here again.
