Amazing Vacation Home

This home was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 6 kids. Pool area was great and kids loved riding on the golf carts to the beach and to the park right down the road. Property manager was very response to the few questions we had when checking in. Would definitely stay here again.

Pretty Home

Home is pretty and in a great neighborhood. Needs a bigger refrigerator that doesn’t freeze your expensive food ingredients and pool lights that function. Otherwise, a great home away from home! We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the heated pool, 2 golf carts and bicycles. Glass Casa is an excellent management company and they addressed our requests promptly and professionally. Excellent location, great house.

The house was perfect for us. The golf carts made it super convient to get to the beach, and the pool kept the kids happy while we werent at the beach. Plenty of local places deliver with door dash so social distancing was easy. The internet was fast (100 down/20 up) so working while I was there was great. Overall really happy, and we'll definitely stay here again.

Nice but needs maintenance

The house is very nice and just as pictured. However the amenities need maintenance or upgrading. The golf carts provided are very used and one barely had brakes. The bicycles also need work! The garage door is very close to breaking and we were thankful it didn’t while we stayed. The grill also needs to be replaced. Overall we had a nice stay and it is in good proximity to beaches and all Destin has to offer!

Spring Break Getaway

This is our 2nd time staying at this location for a good reason. It is a great location and is a perfect size for out 3 families (6 adults, and 6 kids). We love the enclosed pool area at the house as well as access to the playground, pool, and courts at the club house which our kids love. House is beautiful; however it is shows a little wear and tear a could use a little TLC on the flooring, doors and pool. With that said we love this place and would recommend.

Summer Vacation

Enjoy the open concept from the kitchen living room and dinning. Also we can see the kiddos from the kitchen swimming. Rooms were big enough including the restrooms. The bunk beds were awesome for the kiddos. The beach was not even far from our rental house. Overall we had so much fun and comfortable with this house rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was comfortable and provided exactly what they promised, however, it is very tired and is in need of repair and updating. The laminate (hardwood) floors are peeling and split in many places. The sliding doors are all so old that they struggle to slide. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are old and some hang on hinges. The tv in the loft room did not operate and we waited for it to be replaced and never was. The pool is nice and large and was warm as promised yet the lounge furniture by the pool is not comfortable. The grill was dirty and we did not use it. The golf carts are older but operate fine. The management company was responsive and helpful every time we needed them.

Typically to get the kids to the water it’s a whole ordeal of packing things up, finding a spot, being out there all day. We were truly able to relax. We loved the locations and the golf carts. The neighborhood is beautiful and very close to the beach with the golf carts adding a fun touch to the rental property. I think it needs to be noted that the fireplace doesn't work and has been permanently disabled (which is why I gave it 4 stars.) We would have enjoyed the fireplace on the cool January nights.

Everything was great except the beds

Everything was as it should be at the house. It was very nice and clean. Our only complaint were the mattresses in each bedroom. The mattress in the downstairs master was too firm for us and it slanted where your feet were a little higher than your head. Also, the left side of the mattress appeared to be quite worn as is slept much lower than the right side; almost like in a hole. I don't know the specifics of the other two beds in the other two bedrooms - I was just told they were not comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I don't believe the photos does it justice. This home was absolutely beautiful and comfortable for our whole family. The one downfall I would say is you need to make sure you bring pretty much everything from salt to pepper, extra shampoo, hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper and more. Even though you are provided one small amount to get you started that is not enough for one week with 10 people. I have been to lots of homes where they at least have some extra condiments available for the basics that you need for cooking or around the house needs. The master downstairs shower door needs to be scrubbed a little better since it is enclosed shower but Besides that -no complaints at all. We had a wonderful time.

Family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at the Goldfinch property. Great location and access to golf carts and bikes a huge benefit. Loved the pool in the neighborhood which we used several times as the pool at the house had been heated by mistake and took several days to cool down. The temps were in the 90’s so a heated pool was not appealing!! Rooms were large and lots of beds for everyone. Three full baths were beneficial along with the first floor powder room. Also laundry room great to have. Kitchen is spacious and has good appliances. Furniture in the great room and around the wonderful, large table need to be replaced. They are very worn down. The carpeting is also in need of being replaced. Second floor gets warm, but box fans and ceiling fans are helpful. We had very few issues, but when we did, Glass Casa folks were quick to reply and very helpful. The folks they sent out were attentive and friendly. Great experience!

Goldfinch - Destiny East

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 had a wonderful vacation. The location, house layout and Destiny East facilities were great. The Goldfinch property had some issues:1. Destiny East gate code expired. We were given March code, but arrived April 2.2. Golf cart had bald tires and no seat belts. Tire went flat and required Uber ride back. Replacement cart rental was cumbersome and took over 1.5 hours for paperwork.3. Overhead garage door would not close. Bottom reinforcement channel had several loose bolts at 2 connections warping door alignment.4. Low water level in swimming pool was resolved by maintenance. Water level then too high before timer shutoff. Significant water leak at hose connection after timer shut off so I closed valve.5. Bike tire pressures were very low; air pump in garage not functional.6. House needs updates: stained carpets, damaged couches, unstable dining room chairs.7. Some kitchen items should be replaced (pans.)8. Two chairs pool deck furniture was broken.
