「Manuel and Anna were the absolute best hosts. They picked us up from the ferry and took us on a tour of Belize City on the way to their home where the studio apartment is located. We stopped at the grocery store, purchased dinner from a local woman selling traditional food, and stopped at the liquor store near their home before checking in to the cutest, cleanest room. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, the shower had great water pressure, and the breakfast the next day...

「Fabulous property and hosts! There are up to 3 units you can rent for groups up to 12 people. I highly recommend this property. The hosts have created a clean and beautiful oasis. We ordered dinner from a local restaurant that delivered and the hosts got us some requested groceries for an extra fee, which we highly appreciated. I am so happy we decided to stay here instead of a hotel in Belize City. 」

「Host was very hospitable and flexible with switching our last night when the flight changed; plus they arranged a nice taxi for us and we were able to use credit card (most require cash). Nice to have a kitchenette, fridge, and area to sit and have coffee in the morning. Nice sofa and TV for when it rained all day. If staying longer than one night, must have a car to get to anywhere nearby (groceries, nicer places to eat such as the brewery or to go to the city or monkey sanctuary, highly...

「Our stay at Howler House was just as we imagined it could be. The hosts were absolutely amazing and quick with responses. Shanna picked us up from the water taxi, arranged our excursions, and was so helpful with any questions we had about the area. Kenny was there daily cleaning the pool or the yard. 「Positives: Rooms are well kept, have fridges and AC as well as TV with streaming options. Helps you wind down at night. Pool is refreshing and normally chill vibe. Offers quality west-facing views. Also, hotel keeps a water dispenser handy which is very convenient and affordable. Negatives: Poolside bar is rarely staffed and prices are high. The poolside loungers are not comfortable.」

「The grounds were nice and had fun playing cornhole. My main reason for 3 overall is due to being in bottom unit. Woken up to footsteps early both mornings. Kids running, heavy steppers. Couldn’t get back to sleep. So stay in upper units would be my recommendation.」

「Others should’ve been more transparent about their stay here and I wouldn’t have booked. So I’ll try and be more honest. This is a much older hotel but it was very clean and the staff were extremely nice. It’s very close to the water taxi port and centered around lots of popular tourist spots. There is no elevator so you have to pack your luggage up stairs but they only have 4 levels. The building is hot and smelly like mildew but the a/c was good in the rooms. For what I paid I could’ve got...
