"It was close to the coast line. Very comfortable for the night stop over. Our room had no wardrobe for hanging clothes which would have been handy if staying longer. "

"Friendly clean and tidy. The only thing I would like to mention is the slamming doors coming in from pool areas. Some soft closing doors would be great. Every time someone enters or exits the building our room shook and pictures rattled."

"Grafton Cottage was so fantastic we changed our stay from 1 night to 3 nights after the first night. Albie (owner) is very personable and accommodating - just basically lovely. The chalet we had our first night was a cute bedsit and had a good view out over the bay. Full cooking facilities, lots of hot water and a spa & pool right by the door. After the first night we loved it so much we asked Albie if we could stay another 2 nights and he had a 2 story chalet free for us which he only charged the bedsit price. The view was even better. We spent 2 days sipping beer in the spa and reading as rain rolled over the bay - snug and warm and comfortable. We were on a bicycling trip and were able to securely store our bikes in the garage onsite and Albie ran us into town one night (rainy and cold) to go to dinner free of charge. We will definately stay there again and would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere in the Thames area."

"Family from all over were meeting in Matamata for a BIG 60th celebration and 3 of our family booked into Tower Rd Motel. I was there first and found the check in process very easy. Our host was most informative and was able to direct us to our venue. She suggested we put the heat pump on as not a lot of sun had hit the room - we were most grateful when we arrived back after the party to have a nice toasty room to sleep in. Had a comfortable sleep and would definitely recommend, would stay again :)"
