Hotel SOA
10/10 Excellent
"This is a terrific place to stay when visiting durmitor! Only 5 min from black lake, zabljak main town, mountaimview in background. Considering where we were this hotel went out of their way to make sure you has all amenities you needed. Our room was spacious clean ans all products (shampoos lotions body wash) provided. They had a little spa area made available to guests which we thought was a beautiful touch! Staff was friendly and accomodating. We reccomend Hotel SOA if you are in the area!"

Comfy 2-BR Apt near Tara Bridge
10/10 Excellent
"So my husband and I had an excellent stay despite that the apartment was not what we expected. It is really two bedrooms (one with a king size bed and the second one with a double bed and two single beds) and a bathroom at the top floor of a house. The landing at the top of the stairs is where "the kitchenette" is and consists of a microwave, an electric tea kettle and a one burner portable stove top. There is also a sink and dishes and some pots and pans. It is meant for light meals but nothing serious. The description mentions access to a kitchen but we were never offered this on arrival or afterwards. The bedrooms open onto the landing but there is no door leading to the stairs. It is just open and there are no locks on any of the bedroom doors or to the house itself. They are others living in the apartments on the lower level but we never saw them although we could hear them coming and going. There is a wonderful balcony looking out at the mountains which gets morning sun and is a great way to start the day. Having said all that, in retrospect, it was a wonderful stay. We met the hostess at the end of our trip and she was lovely, taking us on a tour of the property (she has beehives!) and treating us to coffee and her homemade cherry cake! This is as authentic as it gets! It is humble but comfortable. I would definitely return but be better prepared regarding meals. "

Hotel PORTO TARA
2/10 Terrible
"We booked the hotel not knowing the road condition and limited times the road is open - it's not listed by the hotel .
After booking it the hotel sent a message :
saying that the last 6.5 km is not paved, and the road is steep in some parts , meaning only cars that have a minimum ground clearance of 15 cm are fit
They also said that due to roadworks the passage is limited 9:00 to 9:30 AM, from 2:00 to 2:30 PM, and after 5:00 PM.
We decided to go since we already booked
The last 7 KM was terrible
Due to the limited time you can leave and the bad road , it is actually impossible to do things your self and booking activities is expensive
We decided to leave after 1 night instead of the 3 night we booked
