It's in a new area, so there were houses still under construction, driveways not yet paved (which meant dusty cars) etc. There was one space to park a car in the drive and we parked our second car on the street. Inside, everything looked pretty new with only a little bit of wear and tear on some of the cupboards in the kitchen. It is close enough to Ottawa to be able to experience all the area has to offer yet far enough out to find peaceful relaxation if you prefer. The houseboat is such a unique experience. "I have hosted short term rentals and have been renting many for years, and I would say that this treehouse cottage was very cute and well thought out. That said, I would make some recommendation's. It wasn’t clear in the listing how far the house was from the water. It is a short walk but details should be a bit clearer. We brought our own kayaks but the small road to the beach was blocked off for reasons unknown. The ponds are cute but very small and not interconnected. It was amazing that...

"What a fantastic treehouse surprise! Absolutely beautiful and truly in the forest but steps away from a lovely sauna and hot tub, and the nicest host even has four laying hens! The route we took included some 1-2km twisty dirt road and felt like a real adventure. We stayed here for a romantic birthday two night stay while taking an excellent blacksmithing course at nearby Vans Blacksmithing in Hawkesbury, and stayed another day for open forge time.
