Perfect Dewey Beach Place for Big Groups!

Incredibly affordable for all the space provided. Great atmosphere and great location! Someone left a valuable item behind and they are shipping it free of charge! Great service and even called to make sure my payment method was done in a way to save me money. Great service from Velma!

Spacious Home for Big Family

Everything was as advertised in the description! My only comment would be that it is time for new mattresses especially the king bed but otherwise great house!

Even Better Than Advertised

This house is amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. Owners have it fully stocked with amenities. House is kept up well, lots of open space and very comfortable. One of the best houses we have rented in 25+ years. Highly recommend this gem.

Property great - Manager NOT

The property was actually perfectly located, and the overall house was clean and as pictured. The problem began when the property manager told us the garbage cans were full, to "just use the neighbors." ??? Next, shortly after arriving, my daughter sat on the couch, and was covered in pet hair, even though the property was listed as PET FREE! My son (the groom and the reason we were in town) has terrible allergies, so that was an issue. Finally, there was a leak in the secondary bathroom shower. Although not great, I understand that things happen, and I called and reported it. I was asked if I remembered to put the curtain inside the tub... Seriously??!! I am not 5! I did however re check everything, just in case and the shower curtain was inside the tub, and it still leaked. I rented this house because I NEEDED the bathroom space. Now I am down to two bathrooms for all of us to get ready for the wedding!!! They never sent a repairman to check it out until two days after we checked out, determined it was my fault, and charged me 300.00 without so much as a phone conversation!! Then the manager tried to get me to sign the paper saying it was my fault and was going to send it in to the "insurance that I purchased" Ummmm.... I didn't purchase insurance! The whole thing seems sketchy. She did confirm that she herself stayed at the property the week before and there was no leak, but I highly doubt she used the secondary bathroom instead of the master... and she also admitted that she had a guest come over and bring a Lab. "I though we got all the hair, but I guess not" was her response when I asked about the dog hair. I was further told that PET FREE doesn't actually mean PET FREE, it just means the owners prefer not to have people bring pets!!! Again, SERIOUSLY???!!! I chose a pet free property for a reason. I also chose a 3 bathroom property for a reason, and in reality I didn't get either of these. I guess what I am saying is, the property is great, the manager is NOT!!! I hope the owners step in and do something about this!

Fabulous place to stay!

Steps to the ocean and convenient to everything in Dewey Beach. Very comfortable house for 8 people. More seating in living room would have been nice. The sofa caused an allergic reaction so I could not sit on it very long and just sat at the table in the dining room.

We were beyond pleased with the house. We had a family of 8 adults and there was plenty of space for all. The double balcony was a plus not to mention being just steps from the beach. The ‘beach shed’ had plenty of nice chairs and umbrellas we could use. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house overall was very current and up to date. We would definitely stay again.

"Vacation" Management Company On Vacation

No complaints about the property itself. This is about Re/Max, the property manager. We checked in to find the air conditioning not working. We called at 11 AM on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and were told they'd follow up and send someone out. Then we heard nothing - zero - for the rest of the day. The kicker: When we called (and then drove to the Rehoboth Re/Max) Monday to try to get any communication from Re/Max about when to expect relief from the 85 degree temperatures inside the house, it turns out the entire office had taken the day off, and the emergency number informed us that broken air conditioning is not a sufficiently emergent emergency. Now, I'm all for holidays. We all should take holidays. But when you are a *holiday vacation management company*, SOMEONE needs to man the ship and be in the office on holidays. Because no one from Re/Max bothered to communicate with us on Sunday or Monday, it took until Wednesday afternoon for any solution (two window air conditioners) to be implemented. We are grateful to Tricia, from Re/Max, who was ultimately communicative and responsive. I can't say anything nice about the rest of the office, unfortunately. Bad job, Re/Max.

Close to beach and restaurants in Dewey Beach

We enjoyed the beach house. It was very close to the beach and just a short walk to the bay for some amazing sunsets. There were a lot of things we loved about the beach house - open concept style - nice kitchen counters - large bedrooms. The carpet could use a good cleaning, but it was the end of the season. But that being said - we would definitely stay there again.

The rental was not clean!!

I called to have the cleaners come back because there was trash left behind, things in the showers and nothing was wiped down dusted or cleaned! Was otherwise a very nice location.

The property overall is nice. Carpets need to be cleaned. Master bed is too hard for my taste. Carport area needs to be cleaned up. I loved the short distance to the beach and the front deck patio furniture was great

Good family beach rental

The pros: overall a great house and the owners were very generous, supplying all paper supplies and access to their shed for storage, grill, etc. There was an ample supply of kitchenware, everything we needed. Lots of books and videos. Very homey. Keypad rather than keys worked really well, especially check in and out. The cons: I know it's a beach rental and expected sand but the house was pretty dirty overall. I am not much of a housekeeper so if I noticed it, that's saying something. The kitchen and bathrooms are pretty worn, cabinets are old, mold around bathroom tile. The living room couch was extremely worn and stained and the master bedroom bed was pretty uncomfortable, could have benefitted from a pillow topper at the very least. Overall, comfortable beach rental in a quiet part of Dewey, within walking distance to restaurants and trolley.

Great long weekend

Spent 4 days with a group of friends and it was perfect. Some of us spent the whole days on the beach and some were in and out of the house. The location has a great balance being so close to the beach, and also having the option of the jolly trolly to take you to the boardwalk. Overall this property was perfect for a group of 8.

Perfect beach getaway.

Great house and location.! Check in process was super easy. The house is right on the beach with an amazing view. My only issues was the house was pretty filthy when we arrived. We actually spent the first hour there wiping down counters and sweeping. It looks like it hadn’t been touched in months. The only thing clean was the beds were made upon arrival. After my stay I left a few articles of clothing that I know was there and the property manager was unfortunately not very communicational. Other than this the house was a nice getaway.

Wonderful, roomy, view of the ocean!

This is a terrific house - great location, great layout, plenty of room for parking and thoughtful amenities (including lots of movies!). Highly recommend for a Dewey Beach vacation with family or friends.
