Fabulous location right on the Banks of the Beaverhead River. located upstream from Pipe Organ Bridge, This 4 Bed 3 bath house is the perfect place for a fly fishing getaway. Riverside deck and BBQ. This is a great place to end a day of guided fishing, have dinner and continue till dark. Boat access right out back with exclusive access to wade fishing.
Down stream from Clark Canyon Reservoir and the Buffalo Lodge steakhouse.

  • Skinner's Saloon - This building, originally built on Yankee Flats was moved to Bannack in 1863. Owned by Cyrus Skinner, a known outlaw and suspected gang member of the Innocents Gang, the saloon quickly became one of the wildest places in town. During its heydays, there were a number of shootouts in the saloon, including one where a bullet went astray, punched through the wall, and killed a woman across the street. On another occasion, two gamblers in a dispute, drew their guns and blasted rounds at each other. Though neither gambler was killed, a bullet killed a drunk man who was passed out on the floor.

Host was very helpful and welcomed us to the house. House was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and linens. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and clean, everything worked as it should. We would stay here again, nice house and setting right on the river.

The house was just as expected. Great location . Right on the river with scenic views on all sides. The house is huge. Large kitchen, living room, and plenty of bedrooms. It was a great base for fly fishing in several different rivers in the area. Definitely recommend.

We had a great time at James’s place. Super convenient for fishing the Beaverhead, the reservoir, or anything in that area. Only about 10 minutes from town. The house was very clean and had everything you needed. Would stay there again.

Beautiful location, spotless house

Spotlessly clean, roomy house. Great for our group. View of river to the south and cliff face to north. Very well-equipped kitchen. We had a working retreat and the extra large table was a fantastic place to gather.

Family reunion

On the occasion of the baptism of a grandson, the whole family was able to be together for a few days. The house was a perfect size, the grounds accommodated kids. Cousins were able to spend time together. It is a gathering that probaby won't happen again for several years. I had no direct contact with the property manager so the rating is neutral.
