Mural in Pincher Creek, Alberta. The Town of Pincher Creek is located in southwestern Alberta at the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains. It was established in 1878 as a North-West Mounted Police post and farm on Pincher's Creek. 14 km round hike. First 4 km is an easy walk. Once you take the trail to Goat Lake it is a steady climb for 2.5 km with 1,750 feet in elevation gained.
