“Das Zimmer war nicht sehr sauber! Geschirr musste man sich aus einem anderen Stockwerk holen, auch Besteck, Teller etc. Das war nicht schön. Die Inhaber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Leider konnte dort kaum einer englisch und deutsch sowieso nicht! Eine Enkelin des Inhabers hat immer von Englisch übersetzt. Alles in allem war es ganz ok.”

I found friends, a warm welcome, and so much laughter despite not speaking the same languages. I think my 3 week stay will be forever remembered as one of those transformative moments of my life. Note: the property is not in downtown Ulcinj but in a nearby town Donji Štoj. The house mailing address system is not quite compatible with Vrbo and so it shows as downtown……
