Absolutely amazing and one of the best, if not THE best B&B I have ever stayed in. We were made to feel welcome from the very outset. Dee & Nigel are amazing hosts and the puppy dog cuddles were great as well. As a B&B the breakfast was exceptional and the room and condition of the whole place is top notch which helps give a wonderful homely feel. It was the little touches though such as the sharing of local knowledge and the home-cooked biscuits which made this stay really stand out from any other. I would not hesitate on staying here again if the opportunity was presented. If Carlsberg did B&Bs then this would be it.

As good as it gets!

I am loathed to tell you how good everything here is for fear of it being fully booked next time we want to visit! Suffice to say it's the best B&B we've stayed in and we've stayed in dozens. Dee and Nigel are wonderful hosts, breakfast there is superb, pretty perfect really!

Fabulous place to stay

What an amazing place, Dee the owner has a fabulous friendly warm manner, very welcoming. The whole hotel was to a very high boutique standard. Room was beautiful, every appliance you would need. Bed and pillows beautiful, overlooking farmers field and lot of sheep, so relaxing. Breakfast so tasty and plentiful.. Fantastic stay

Such a comfortable stay at Dee and Nigel's oasis which is just a stone's throw away from the town of Dornoch. This is a world class B&B experience, quality and attention to detail everywhere--including the most comfortable bed, linens, towels, even a quality hairdryer, lol! The lovely local candy bag left in our room each day was a "sweet" touch. Our room overlooked an open field with the Dornoch Firth in the distance. Peaceful and quiet. The breakfast is over the top, Dee must have been a michelin star chef in a prior life, and Nigel sets the table as though you are royalty. Only three rooms, so very low key. The hosts are so genuinely kind and down to earth. Lastly, add an additional star for the resident pooch, Taz, who is such a good boy!

This is a truely wonderful place to stay, more luxury boutique hotel than B&B. We were greeted warmly by the hosts Nigel and Denise. The house has been beautifully refurbished and is warm and welcoming. Our room was immaculately clean with a lot of thoughtful touches. In the bathroom there was a huge basket of toiletries, full of items that’s you wouldn’t bother taking away with you and of course, very useful! The bed was so amazingly comfortable, with bedding that was so soft it felt like silk. It was as though we were sleeping on a lavender scented cloud. We had the best nights sleep! The view from the house is stunning, looking down to Dornoch and the sea, with snow capped mountains in the background. Breakfast was totally delicious! A very full English, all local produce, including bacon, sausages, black pudding, haggis, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, baked beans and endless toast from a selection of bread. We were very sad to leave and will be booking again soon. Truely recommend.

Nigel and Dee gave us a very warm welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. It was our second night on our north coast 500 trip and we suspected it would probably be the best night and we were right! Fabulous room with attention to every detail of comfort and delicious breakfast. If you don’t stop here you’re missing out!

Great place to stay!

Amazing stay, Dee and Nigel both very welcoming. Cleanliness at this B&B is outstanding, great little touches in the room and luxury feel to the bedding. Breakfast fantastic and Dee was able to tell us some little gems for our NC500 trip.

Amazing B&B - highly highly recommend

Our stay with Dee and Nigel was wonderful. As other reviewers have said, Dee and Nigel are wonderful hosts who have kept the place in immaculate condition. I am really fussy about cleanliness and the room and bathroom were the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Dee's breakfast was amazing - we are vegetarian and she made a wonderful smashed avocado and poached eggs with roasted tomatoes and mushrooms on sour dough breakfast which was nicer than all the breakfasts we had throughout our short tour of Scotland (and we stayed at some nice hotels). The location of the B&B is great - it's a short walk to the centre of Dornoch. When we visit Dornoch again, we will definitely be staying at Heartseed House - highly highly recommend.
