We were very pleased with this beach front cottage! It is beautifully decorated. The kitchen and living room are a nice size. We loved the veiw from the larger bedroom that had a full size beach view. The house, property and direct beach access were very cool! Great vibes!

We loved our stay at this lovey cottage. While on the bay, it gave the feel of being oceanfront in every way, with the rural residential area providing a peaceful alternative to the busy oceanfront beaches. It’s an easy 30 minute drive to Rehobeth and Bethany. We also visited Berlin and Assateaque Island, a little over a hour drive. The cottage is beautifully decorated, clean, fully stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The host was incredibly accommodating providing fresh flowers, an offer to arrive a day early due to an incoming Nor’easter, and necessities to get through the storm available upon arrival.

It's not often when you travel to another state and realize you found the "best" place to just chill. Even with our crazy weather, there was no better place to be.We Loved it so much my husband asked if he could buy it.Simply put it has been the decision maker for us to relocate to Delaware. Our Host was great in any communication.

Charming little cottage, both inside and out

Just the right size for a small family or couple looking for a nature focused, less hectic, beach vacation. The kitchen was stocked beyond what you’d usually expect from a vacation home – coffee, flour, sugar, full spice rack, decent cookware, etc. Countless thoughtful touches – fresh flowers, an umbrella, binoculars, and beach toys. Bright, open floorplan – lots of space for boardgames or to just relax and watch the sunrise. Huge mudroom with laundry (stocked with detergent). Just one bathroom with shower (no bathtub), but there is also a large, private, outdoor shower. Definitely bring water shoes – due to prickly pear cactus and shells. Walk out to a certified wildlife habitat yard with grill, deck, kayak, and hammock. Easy walk from the back deck to a Delaware Bay quiet beach, full of ghost crabs, horseshoe crabs, and seabirds. We spent mornings on the beach or took short trips to: Cape Henlopen State Park (beautiful beaches, historical WWII observation towers, playground, and small Nature Center with a horseshoe crab touch tank), DuPont Nature Center (bird watching on their web cam and beach scavenger hunts for kids), Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge (easy salt marsh hikes), and Broadkill Store (walk on the beach while you wait for your pizza). It’s an easy half hour drive to Lewes, Rehoboth, and Dewey for more typical beach town activities and Jungle Jims waterpark. Recommend Towers Beach state park for a beach day and Big Oyster Brewery in Milton.

Very well appointed cottage. Kitchen was perfect for prepping and cooking meals for the family. Great location, short walk from back patio to beach. Lounging in hammock late afternoons and morning coffee on beach were fantastic! Outside shower was appreciated after day visiting deauville beach, about 35min drive away, highly recommend. Only negatives, one bathroom, and not much privacy, sounds travel very easily inside home. shades on windows on sides of cottage would have been appreciated. But other than that, place is ideal. Owner is very responsive and obviously cares very much about the property, we will look to rent again!

Book now! This is a lovely house on a quiet bay beach that is also a bird and horseshoe crab sanctuary. We saw dolphins and an eagle. The house is immaculate,, well appointed and stocked. Great kitchen and views. Close drive to shops and ocean beaches. The Big Oyster Brewery is a must visit! Our family of 5 and our dog enjoyed the visit and hope to return soon.

Absolutely LOVED this property! Beautiful decor, perfect layout, clean, quiet, & relaxing. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Seamless check in & checkout. Just opened the door to experience the beach. Up close with nature; birds, turtles, & even a deer stopped by. We didn’t want to leave! I can’t wait to visit again!

Beach retreat with young family

The quiet waters of Slaughter Beach (and few visitors) make it the perfect destination for a young family. The horseshoe crabs and dolphin pod were the talk of our ride home!We loved the cottage - the kitchen was also a nice surprise, as it was well stocked and very big for the cottage. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

One of the best vacations i've ever had thanks to the gorgeous property and the outstanding management of the owners. Waking up to the sunrise, walking on the beach, relaxing on the patio, and watching the wildlife, which included a wide variety of birds, and also foxes, turtles, small sharks, and of course the horseshoe crabs! Plus Rehoboth Beach was 30 minutes away, so we had a wonderful dinner and walked along the boardwalk. Outstanding all around. I would love to come back.

Agree with everyone else that the property was as wonderful as advertised. Very appealing decor and everything needed was available. The location and water views were exceptional. We would definitely stay there again.

Peace and tranquility on the water

Cute cozy coral cottage

Communications with the owner was excellent. parking was no problem, even for 2 pickups. the cottage was clean and inviting , fresh flowers around the living areas. Cozy bedrooms. GREAT VIEWS. large living area with Great views. Don't for get to watch for dolphins. The best thing we can say is that we are looking forward to future stays here.
