Downtown Anchorage Hotel with Pool

"I was really impressed with the property. Restaurant was good, workout room well maintained, and room clean/comfortable."

"The lobby looked decent and was clean. The room was horribly outdated, moldy and falling apart. Beard clippings on the bathroom sink. Candy, rocks, & dog food on the floor around the room. The pool was extremely cold and slimy. Very loud area right next to the rail depot. A lot of vagrant foot traffic in the area. 11 out of 10 I would never recommend this place to anyone. We checked out early."

"Room was good , Our room was on first floor near main entrance so smokers were standing right outside our window. Smell didnt make it into room as window was closed. Still uncomfortable to see people pacing back in forth as they smoked. Staff was more than helpful.. Parking was ok if you were lucky enough to park on property as parking lot was small , otherwise you had to park on street. We were lucky we stayed on a weekend and found a spot near hotel. All in all was ok for the price considering summer rates usually double prices at most hotels in anchorage."

"I was treated rudely at Bruins just coming off the jet. All I wanted was a beer and a light dinner as it was late. The bartender was very short, unwelcoming, and rude! I will call his supervisor to complain now that I am checked out. The service I was recieving was the night of April 22."

"Everything has been great every time we have stayed here except the exact same issue: checking in and checking out. Every single time we have checked in and checked out, we have had to stand there waiting and waiting on an employee to show up at the desk. There is no bell. No way to get anyone’s attention. And there is never anyone standing behind the desk. This is the ONLY hotel I have ever stayed at nationwide where we have to hunt down someone to check in. If that’s going to be the case, why require it at all? Why don’t you just have automated checkin/out like the AirB&B places do so we don’t even have to deal with a person at all? That would be so much easier. I hope this problem gets fixed in the future. It’s really awkward and uncomfortable to just have to stand there with no other option ESPECIALLY if we are in a hurry. "

"Kids enjoyed the pool. The room was clean and the view of the city and coast was great. There’s a great breakfast spot within walking distance. And the staff were friendly and helpful. "
