"Clean hotel, nice employees, but there wasn’t a cart to be had for our luggage. I asked for handicap accessibility because my husband is disabled. We were given the room at the very end of the hall. He walks with a cane, but only for a short while. I asked for a wheelchair and was told there wasn’t one at the hotel. The problem was observed by the woman checking us in, but she offered no help. "

"This hotel is our favorite pet-friendly hotel in downtown Durham. During this last visit, I had inadvertently double booked myself a room directly with the hotel and on Expedia. The check-in host was so kind to cancel the room booked directly with the hotel without penalties. I certainly was not expecting that and figured I'd be paying for two rooms due to my oversight. Thank you 21c hotel. That made my day, and I will certainly return. "

"My wife and i have been on a 2 week roadtrip staying in vrbos all over 3 states and this was by far the cleanest and nicest and most welcoming place we stayed in. My wife greatly appreciated how clean the home is and the clear and easy written check out instructions. She also liked that the host doesn't use heavy scents and sprays. They had a hand writen note for us a nice book with places to eat and drink . Geat amenities. Only had 1 thing i can knock on this place and that is the beds are like sleeping on granite. Over all though we would stay here again and i would recommend, unless your sleep sensitive to ultra firm beds. "

"Host was great and helpful The verbo was the top floor of a house. We had a separate entrance up some outside stairs. There was off street parking for our car. The place was clean and comfortable. The heating in the place was oil filled plug in space heaters and we were concerned about being warm enough but we were plenty warm. I was relieved that the host uses scent free laundry detergent. I had brought sheets just in case (I have chemical sensitivity) but it was so nice not to have to deal with changing sheets when we arrived. The beds were comfy and the pillows were nice too and we all (3 of us) slept well. There’s not a dishwasher so, if that bothers you, bring paper plates to cut down on the washing up. We were in town for a swim meet in nearby Cary so didn’t do much going out except to the swim meet. I found a great arts and crafts thrift store nearby in some off time. Highly recommend if you’re scrappy and artistic. They have a gift shop if you’re not artistic but appreciate things like that. I found it very sweet that the host had facilitated getting the stray cat population fixed and rehomed. There’s a book with bios of several of the cats.The neighborhood is a decent one. Working class I guess. There weren’t any loud parties going on or anything and we were there Thursday-Sunday. "
