「We had a 1 night stay over at the Golden Gate hotel. We initially thought we booked at the hotel but was surprised that we had booked a chalet. The chalet was perfect with its own braai (BBQ) outside and all the amenities required for a proper self catering experience. Would definitely stay there again as it about a 15 minute scenic drive to Clarens.」

「This place is a small piece of heaven! Great service from all staff right from the very beginning. Before arrival - Comms were timely and accurate and helpful. The meals provided were great (especially the Oxtail stew! 😋) and delivered to your individual lodge. The situation of the lodge is beautiful - wherever you look the scenery transfixes you. 「The hotel room was excellent. Situated right in the middle of Clarens you can walk everywhere from the hotel. Rooms overlooking the village green can be a little noisey but not overly so and rooms overlooking the mountains are quieter. Room very nicely decorated and contained four poster bed and fireplace, high end spec air conditioning, hair dryer, shower all much appreciated. Caring staff and good service including laundry facility. Restaurant Vito's is underneath and serves good Italian food...
