「This cozy place is a gem. Perfectly located with a view over the River Tweed, the helpful instructions from the owner ensured that we easily found the cottage. 「Wow what an amazing experience we had at East twin cottage carmichael, the property is a little dated but very clean and in an amazing location. 「The weather wasn’t in our favor but it didn’t matter as the cottage was the perfect place to spend a rainy day. The home was far more spacious than the photos conveyed. We had plenty of room for our group of five. With a well fitted out kitchen, a nice supply of board games, and a cozy fire in the wood stove, everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully, we will be able to take advantage of the lovely enclosed private garden on a future visit.」

「The property was filthy. We reported the issues whilst we were there, and were advised to put it onto a feedback form when we left. We did this and have had no acknowledgement whatsoever. 「We had an enjoyable stay in a clean cosy place but the tiny touches were missing that we have become accustomed to using other holiday booking platforms (such as toilet roll and soap). 「This was our second stay at this property and it was just as good as the first. Just 30 mins drive from Edinburgh, and 10 mins from the Pentland Hills it's perfect for both a city and country break. 「Looks exactly like in the pictures don't expect modern furniture. old-school tv with satellite channels and working internet. I like the access road to the lodge covered in leaves - magic. I have stayed for 7 days, overall cleanliness was ok ( don't look under the beds). Warm rooms as long as you switch heating. beautiful views, quiet place. Bring your own water to drink, I wouldn't drink tap water. Enjoy your stay.」

「Beautiful hotel, great welcoming staff (from front house to restaurant to pool). Room was perfect - especially the view. Beds were very comfy, parking location ideal!. *Something out of the hotels control which was negative was the families / kids creating mayhem in the pool area. Inflatables and ‘dads’ jumping in was quite frankly embarrassing. After 2 minutes I left (sadly the 8pm adults only swim was around my dinner reservation). 」
