This was my first time in Ireland and I would definitely recommend staying here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I traveled to Ireland/Dublin mostly for the Guinness and didn't know the history of the hotel I stayed in!! Beautiful place. Next to a couple of bus stops and convenience stores. The bar and restaurants on site are splendid. The views are picturesque. My room was very tidy. The bathroom was spotless. I do also recommend getting the breakfast option. The food was delicious. If you're a person that runs hot, I will recommend getting a fan. If and when I return to Ireland, the awesome Court Yard Hotel in Leixlip will be the place to rest my head.

Very good option within 1/2 hr from Dublin airport. Quiet room with balcony overlooking river. Large suites. In the old Guinness factory - lots of history. Traditional furnisings.

The facility was good, my only concern was that the ADA room shower doesn’t have a barrier to avoid the water to leak out to the door, the water ends up flooding the foyer.

This property was great in every regard except the lack of ventilation in the rooms. They have devices on the windows that limit opening to about 1" and there is no fan or ventilation ducting in the room. The grounds and the restaurant and pub on site are excellent.

I first stayed in a handicap room, and that was not ideal. Breakfast was ok, included in my plan, but I cannot say it is outstanding. Room was clean. Staff friendly, but not 5 star. They always said "hello" (the bare minimum) but did not go beyond that. I really enjoyed the bar staff and drinks.

Functional but disappointing

Whilst the hotel is clean and presentable, and the staff very friendly, the overall decor is dated and small touches like proper hairdryers in the room rather than hoses that blow hot air, proper shower fittings rather than mixer taps above baths with leaking shower heads would make a big difference given the room rate is not exactly entry level. Average quality food at breakfast and in bar menu .

Check in at 4pm and absolutely no flexibility at reception, in fact the woman was almost rude in her response, basically room is available at 4pm and not before. I do get they need time to turn around rooms, but not everyone checks out at noon, so there must be at least a possibility of getting a room sooner, they said they'd call if it became available, they didn't, however we managed to get a room when we returned at 1540, but even then I noticed the clock watching. Room 109 shower control would not change temperature and was too hot, hairdryer worked intermittently. TV channels - fuzzy and not visible on some channels, like rte1. Bed was comfortable, about the only positive of note. If you let your guests into hotel as soon as you possible can, they start spending in the hotel at earliest opportunity. If you alienate guests and of course, sometimes early check in is just not possible, then they are less likely to spend on site.

Great hotel with a good vibe. Arrived in the afternoon and sat in the courtyard with live music playing. Great location, only downside was trying to find the entrance, I think it needs a little more explanation , you actually drive through a public car park to access theirs!
