“I recently stayed at Staybridge Suites St. Petersburg Downtown and had a disappointing experience. Check in was at 4 pm, but when we arrived at 4:10, one of our two rooms was still not ready. No one informed us when it became available, we had to follow up ourselves. The staff overall were rude and unhelpful. One room faced the highway, making it very noisy at night, and the smoke alarm kept beeping. Calls to the front desk went unanswered. The next day, we were told room service required 24……

“Second night of my stay I had a knock on my door at 4am stating that I texted this person to come over. My daughter and I had NO knowledge of who this person was. I called the front desk several times and did not get and answer. I called IGH that night and several times while I was in Tampa and all that’s happening is I’m getting the run around. I was told I would get a call from the hotel manager and an email from holiday inn explaining what happened and I yet to receive anything from anyone.……

“The bed sheets had holes in them. The bathroom appeared to be clean, but the shower walls had orange-colored stains from dirt. I didn’t use the white towels because they looked gray and dirty, so I had to buy new towels just to be able to shower. The sofa also looked dirty and unhygienic. Although the hotel states that smoking is not allowed, there was a noticeable smell of marijuana coming from nearby rooms. Honestly, I would not recommend this place for families with small children. “When I asked for 0 balance for receipt, they said the towel is too dirty. I told them it was their floor in the bedroom that was too dirty since i was in barefoot. The front desk guy was charging me $15 for the towels. I said if you will not remove that charge give me the towel instead. “First impression of the home was disappointing, the property is not maintain, the grounds/lawn is over grown with weeds and trash, no garden, the garbage can was full of trash and the house is old. The inside is very nice with newer appliances, flat screen TVs, nice bedding and a very comfortable bed, bathroom was clean, the living room was clean but had an old couch.
