"Besr Western has gone upscale! This is a beautiful hotel. The libby is well appointed with a small nook for private conversations or work. The bathroom and shower were excellent. I can't speak to the breakfast because we didn't eat there. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"The entire staff was excellent. Front desk staff was very courteous and promptly addressed our questions and needs. Large rooms in great condition, and most comfortable pillows I've experiences (which is a rarity in hotels). Breakfast arrangement and choices were good and the area was clean. Three improvement requests: 1) absolutely need a hook or towel bar next to shower stall to hang the towel (currently have to put towel on the floor or unsafely reach all the way to the counter). 2) install a handle on the wall at the shower to aid climbing in and out. 3) put a 2nd easy chair in these large rooms - typically most of the time at least 2 people in the room, correct? No one wants to relax in a desk chair. Overall - great experience, we will stay again and recommend to others. "

"My stay start perfect as i was able to check in early which was a big plus for our trip. The beds and pillows were perfect. Was a little loud with the traffic but nothing to bothersome. I will be staying again in a couple weeks. "

"Overall, I would definitely stay here again if returning to an event at the Tacoma Dome. In warmer weather you can walk from the hotel, although the staff do NOT recommend it. There is not a complete sidewalk the whole way there, and there were a couple homeless camp set ups along the path. (It took about 18 mins each way, but we saved $30 in event parking, and about 1.5 hours easily by not driving.) There were several other people walking too, so we had no issues. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and they may get dirty, fyi. The hotel staff were all great, food in the restaurant was good and the room was better than expected for an older hotel. However, there was definitely hallway noise (even being on the top floor towards the end), and the main door to the room didn't shut/seal completely, so there was light around each side of the door that shined through all night. I also noticed pilling on the sheets which I found odd, and although the mattress was decent, the pillows were not the greatest so I would take my own if I ever go back. All in all I would recommend, especially if going to an event at Tacoma Dome, as its one of the closest hotels to the venue, and all staff we encountered were great."

"Problems with shower tub drains. Actually had water backing up last morning there. Staff said the entire fourth floor was being shut down for 'upgrade. next week. Should have happened already."
