"Gringo Perdido was an incredible stay. Breakfast and dinner were included, which was a huge bonus after long days exploring. The property itself is beautiful—swim-up pool, lake access, hammocks throughout the property, and plenty of quiet spaces to relax and unwind. They also have a full-service spa, and the hotel coordinated all of our transportation and excursions, which made everything seamless. Customer service was top notch. Our room was clean, comfortable, and serviced daily. We arrived very late our first night, and they even brought dinner to our room so we wouldn’t miss the meal. This is the perfect place to disconnect. It’s ideal for couples and small families looking for a peaceful getaway. Definitely not a party scene, but rather a place to slow down, relax, and take in the beauty of Lake Petén Itzá. If you’re visiting Petén or heading to Tikal, this is a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend."

"Lovely place in the Tikal Jungle. Food was delicious. We stayed in the Hostal (without private bathroom) but the showers and toilets were close by and cleaned regularly. I understand that everything needs to be brought in but it would be nice if drinking water was available to fill water bottles instead of the constant need to use plastic bottles. Perhaps a goal for a greener future."

"Having a lake with beach access was amazing. The sauna and pool was wonderful. The restaurant was pretty unremarkable. It was nice that breakfast was included but some of the items on the breakfast buffet was at room temperature. WIFI is super spotty in the rooms. "
