“My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the location and it was a quick walk along a path on the golf course to the town to explore all North Berwick has to offer.”

“The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant. Cleanliness not what we would have expected either - some litter……

“Whilst the room was clean, it was very small and dated. Repairs already done require finishing, paintwork, screws etc. Bathroom tiny, nowhere to put anything and shower curtain a definitely 'no no'. Very dated and much tlc required. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast quality good but very limited choice. No inviting bar area available. Lovely building but requires a lot of tlc and maintenance. Sorry but won't be staying again.”

“Very clean and convenient. A little strange that I had to give my license plate number as they have a private park ing ticketing company given parking tickets out. I guess it's a way to make money off guest if they forget to punch in. Stayed in Hotels all over the world, but never seen this tourist trap before.”

“Though an old building, it is very well maintained. Very clean and the host (Alice) very friendly and helpful. it is beautifully placed and our room overlooked the Musselburgh Racecourse/ golfing green. Breakfast (though continental) was very nice and you were able to choose what you wanted and at what time and this was brought up to your room in a lovely basket. Our whole stay there was lovely and would definitely stay there again :)”

“A great place to eat and stay. Portions are on the large side so bring a good appetite with you. Lovely fresh food and good ingredients, I would highly recommend it as a place to stay, the room was beautiful with a very large bed and everything you could want. We had a wonderful stay.”
