Lovely home, well set out, incredible views.

This was a beautiful home, one of the best we have stayed in in Europe. Great use of stone. the Pool was just lovely and inviting with the most incredible views. The property and photos were accurate and as per the listing. Spotlessly clean and maintained. The owner was helpful in any requests we made. This area was quiet and peaceful and good for people who want to get away from the tourist traffic. We found a wonderful swimming spot only a few minutes from the villa. The only things we could fault would be the TV. Maybe provide either 1 or 2 channels in English or a few extra DVD's in English and some soft covers on the outside deck chairs. There was no Wi-Fi in this area but that could be regarded as a plus if you want to be free of this nuisance. Overall we were more than happy and would come back again someday in the future.

wonderful house, highly recommended

We spent a week at the Mani House in August, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The house was far more stylish, elegant, spacious and comfortable that we had imagined. It is beautifully built, and immaculately maintained. I am surprised that it has anything less than five-star reviews. The pictures do not do justice to the interior, or even to the views. The view to the sea is stunning, as depicted, but there are also lovely views over the nearby village and to the mountains behind; nor do you see in the pictures that the house is surrounded by lovely mature oak trees and olive groves: the surroundings are charming. Even in August, the roads were quiet; the house is set back from a tiny lane and the only sound was the chirping of the cicadas, although there are houses on the neighbouring plots. The pool is gorgeous, very big, with lovely water, barely chlorinated and cool enough to be refreshing, but warm enough to swim for ages, even at night (when it can be lit up). The children spent hours in it. Nearby beaches range from small rocky coves which are almost empty even in high season to huge the sandy bays of Skoutari. These seemed mainly to be visited by Greek families, which gave everything a relaxed, low key atmosphere. Even the most popular beaches were not packed, there was no traffic on the roads, and we had no trouble getting tables in the beach-side tavernas. If you are looking for a house of this size, with a pool, in a stone's throw of the sea, I think you would be lucky to find a better one in this part of the Mani. The only downside for visitors out of the Eurozone is that George asks that the large security deposit being paid in euros, which means you are likely to incur an extra cost on the currency conversion. (I should stress, however, that we got the money straight back at the end of our stay, with no problems!) George was helpful and efficient, and though he was on site in our week (because the caretaker was away) we enjoyed total privacy and only saw him when we knocked on his door for advice.

A Dreamy place

We stayed at the Mani House attracted by the beautiful stone house and the trip was worth it. The property was indeed beautiful and maintained at excellent standards. The infinity pool offered amazing views during the whole day and night, The stone walls combined with a modern interior is focused on comfort. The traditional albeit unique property features all modern conveniences including, among others, a sound system for different areas of the house; satellite TV, BBQ, and wood oven. The TV/stereo set up was very advanced and broadcasted at the pool area too. The living room was really cozy and the kitchen fully equipped with a high standard appliance. The bedrooms all had their own bathroom each decorated in different colors from the others, A/C, and window nets. The house, in general, was very spacious and we did not feel that it was crammed, it rather gave us a sense of comfort and relaxation throughout. The surrounding the house space divided into several areas with stone paths, among trees, local plants, olive and fruitful trees offers a sense of beauty. The house is located at the end of a small village, which means you need to have a car to go to the beach (4 minutes by car) or to a taverna, but even so, it is totally worth the visit!

Amazing place, amazing house, one of our best holidays!

We stayed at the Mani House in the summer of 2016. We were attracted by the beautiful stone house and the trip was worth it. The property was indeed beautiful and maintained at excellent standards. The infinity pool offered amazing views during the whole day and night. The TV/stereo set up was very advanced and broadcasted at the pool area too. The living room was really cozy and the kitchen fully equipped with high standard appliances (SMEG fridge). The bedrooms all had their own bathroom each decorated in different colors from the others, A/C and window nets. The house in general was very spacious and we did not feel that it was crammed, it rather gave us a sense of comfort and relaxation throughout. The house is located at the end of a small village, which means you need to have a car to go to the beach or to a taverna, but even so, it is totally worth the visit!

Wonderful and relaxing vacations in kriviana villa in Mani! Would strongly recommend!

We drove from Athens to the Mani House by car. The instructions we had been provided with were very clear and the roads comfortable and safe. We arrived at a beautiful house, incredibly picturesque. The garden and pool were amazing and the facilities offered (en suite rooms plus extra WC, walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom, A/C, dvd, cd player, bbq) more than we could ask for. The house is built in a combination of modern and local architectural touches, which gave a sense of cleanliness but also coziness. The owner gave us an excellent guide to the local area (beaches, shops, tavernas) upon our arrival and was very helpful with all our queries. An excellent villa to relax, enjoy the views and the tranquility of the little village of Kalyvia, but also a good base to explore the surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend!

Spectacular views, comfortable well equipped house

This is a great property for a restful stay. The house is well equipped, well maintained and comfortable, and the pool is as good as it looks in the photos. George Iasemidis (the owner) was always very quick and helpful in his responses before we arrived. During our stay he was also very responsive and most helpful, and there are good instructions and suggestions re local facilities provided in the house. I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends. You do need a car if you are going to stay here - it is quite isolated which is an advantage in terms of peace and quiet, provided you have your own transport.

Tranquilité et confort

Nous avons été accueillis par le propriétaire de la villa qui connait très bien la région et nous a conseillés sur les (très) bonnes adresses où profiter des superbes paysages et de l'excellente cuisine locale.Notre hote a fait preuve de beaucoup de discrétion et d'attentions (les CD de chansons françaises !...) La région a beaucoup de caractère et la villa de par son architecture s'y intègre parfaitement ; la demeure est très agréable et spacieuse, on y déambule aisément et il fait bon y vivre. Tout est très bien conçu et rien ne manque. La vue est époustouflante, incite au voyage et la piscine semble ne faire qu'une avec la mer. Le village est très calme, et la villa dispose d'un grand terrain permettant un relatif isolement. De nombreuses plages sont accessibles en quelques minutes ; elles sont peu fréquentées et l'ambiance y est calme et conviviale à la fois. Les commerces permettent également de s'approvisionner en très bons produits peu chers (les viandes , légumes et poissons sont d'un rapport qualité prix imbattable), préparés dans la grande cuisine de la villa ou son barbecue.
