"Location, location, location. That's what you're paying for with this hotel. You're about 2 blocks from Boston Common, Chinatown, and just a little further to Newbury St./Back Bay. Parking was easy...the Pilgrim Parking on Lafayette is connected to the hotel so you don't even have to go outside after you park.
I wish they wouldn't charge "destination fees". We didn't use any of the "perks" that that fee supports anyway. Our adult son used the gym and he really liked it - was impressed by the equipment and that there was a sauna and indoor lap pool. We were told at check in that the restaurant/bar was open til midnight, but when my husband went to buy a beer at just barely 11pm, someone from the restaurant told him they were closed.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Could definitely use some sprucing up...it looks a little tired in places. The staff was friendly. Shower was hot with good water pressure. If we were to splurge again, we would probably stay here."
