3 well appointed holiday cottages all with living accommodation 3 bedrooms 2 shower rooms 1 bathroom with shower sleeps 6 people 2 bedrooms with double bed 1 bedroom with twin beds in each cottage wheelchair access throughout ground floor. Set in the grounds of Bowden Springs Fishery with fishing available all year. Decking at rear with unspoiled views of the surrounding countryside. Linlithgow 10-15mins by car and Edinburgh and Glasgow easily reached by car or by train from Linlithgow each 25-40 minutes by train. Linlithgow itself is steeped in history housing the Royal Palace which was the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. The high street boasts many local bars and restaurants and some very interesting small shops. Local attractions around Linlithgow include the Kelpies (mythical water horses) the Falkirk wheel the House of Binns to name but a few. 20 minutes takes you to South Queensferry with the stunning rail bridge and road bridge. There is also a new road bridge completed in 2017. Quite near by is the Five Sisters Zoo which gives close up views of bears and newly rescued lions, and of course Edinburgh Zoo have the pandas. You can easily visit Stirling Castle and the famous Wallace monument. You will really be spoiled for choice attractions within easy distance of our cottages.

Great accommodation set in lovely lowland countryside. Handy for various tourist spots, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and Falkirk. Linlithgow Town centre and Train station 6 miniutes away.Jim the host has provided a great holiday home. There are 3 chalets in a quiet rural area. We are happy to recommend. Car essential.

Just what we wanted

We arrived a bit early & it wasnt any problem for Jim, who met us, in the rain. Inside after a little tour & info on the workings of the gas stove, lights,door keys etc, we unloaded & just relaxed. Looking out at the sheeo pastures & the 360 views itvwas amazing.! The drive up the hill was a bit scary, but after a few trios up/ down we adjusted. House was lovely. Everything clean & neat. Im sad we didn't have time to put the living room back together, as we needed to be to the airport so early. Left them a bottle of wine to say thank you & forgot to leave a note of thanks. So " Thamk you"!!!

Wonderful idyllic cottage

This was a wonderful cottage and a beautiful setting. It was extremely clean and well equipped. The owner was delightful and very helpful.It should be noted that there is no dryer or hot tub. But there was a rack to dry clothes on and they dried quickly. Also, you need to take your own bath soap. It was very up-to-date and the view from your window was gorgeous. Lambs scampering about and a beautiful view of the valley. We were extremely happy with our location.

Christmas stay

A beautiful spacious house, nicer than in the photos. Comfy bed and we appreciated the Christmas decorations. Had a nice wakk past the lake and up the hill in to the woods.

Best stay in a Cottage in Scotland

We found a beautiful Cottage in the near of Linlithgow. For the start all necessary things were available in the Cottage. In the evening Jim, the owner, visit shortly and had a talk with us. The area around is so beautiful. Sheaps, top view on the Ochils.

Very clean and tidy,only comment is we had a long 7 hour drive and there was no milk in fridge and no tea bags etc,didnt want heaps just a quick cuppa and it would have been nice to leave an odd bin bag, as we were there for 6 days,but apart from that a lovely Comfy stay. comfy comfy stay

Großartiger Stützpunkt für Ausflüge

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche mit sehr vielen Ausflügen, die wir alle sehr komfortabel von unserer Unterkunft aus erreichen konnten. Die Ferienwohnung liegt etwas außerhalb, aber zentral für die meisten schönen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Es gibt ausreichend Platz für 6 Personen und die Wohnung bietet einige Annehmlichkeiten. 5 of us stayed here Monday to Thursday, we were all very impressed with the cottage, and the views around it were spectacular. There was everything you could need for a stay here. The fishing lake, just a few yards from the cottage was beautiful, even if you don't fish, was lovely to walk around. The town of Linlithgow was just a couple of miles away, with an historical palace to visit, good rail links to Edinburgh and Glasgow and good restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend these cottages, they are a great find. Enjoy!!

Great stay with great Hosts

Amazing cottage. Communication with hosts where excellent. Even round up the sheep herd was inclusive :-). We had a wonderful time in the cottage and just loved the view of the fields surrounding. We found everything we needed in the cottage as well. Thanks again for a really nice vacation.

Amazing location

The cottage was central for everywhere we wanted to go and was near to the train station for easy access into Edinburgh. Having 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms is very unusual and it made life so much easier for everyone.

Country isolation less than 1/2 hour from Edinburgh.

A week that had almost all we needed. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms make it ideal for a larger family. Trout fishing within 50 feet of the cottage. Only weakness was the beds are low (ikea type) and are well passed their comfort guarantee.

Absolutely beautiful

This cottage was a great surprise and absolutely beautiful. If you’re ready to disconnect from social media and take a break from our fast paced lives, this cottage is the answer. I rated communications with property manager less than 5 stars as we had difficulty reaching Jim and no information was provided ahead of time as to how to get there and the check in process. Since we were traveling via London from the US, this was unsettling. However once we made contact with him, they were extremely responsive to our needs and questions. A fantastic location and we would definitely return.

Maison moderne à la campagne à mi chemin entre Glasgow et Édimbourg

Très belle maison spacieuse, propre, avec une literie confortable et une cuisine bien équipée. Les vaches dans le champs d’à côté ont bien occupé nos enfants. Belle vue des chambres. Pratique pour visiter Édimbourg, Glasgow et le château de Stirling. Propriétaire très sympathique.
