Welcome to our nineteenth-century home!

The property is located on the 2nd floor without an elevator.

Tastefully furnished in a modern style, our flat is ideal for family and friends on a holiday retreat in this beautiful city!

The flat has tall windows that flood the spacious lounge with sunlight. Here, you'll find a lovely sofa bed for one which can sleep two and a flat-screen Smart TV to watch all your favourite shows.

The open-planned kitchen is next to the lounge includes a counter table and is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a fresh meal. The flat is also surrounded by a diverse range of restaurants and bars incase you prefer to eat out.

The bedroom features a double bed with hotel-quality linens to ensure comfort.

The bathroom has a bathtub, an attached showerhead, a toilet, and a sink. We also provide fresh towels and complimentary eco-friendly toiletries for your convenience.

The flat is always professionally cleaned before your arrival.

Have a lovely stay.

On the day of your arrival, you can seamlessly complete the check-in process using Keynest by visiting a nearby store within walking distance of the property. You will receive your keys by providing a code to the store attendant. The store's address and the required code will be conveniently shared with you at least 48 hours before your scheduled time, and the code is valid within 30 minutes before your scheduled time.

Please note that keys are also required to be dropped off at checkout.

We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home so please take good care of it as if it was your own.

Visitors pack the Old Town, a bustling area of centuries-old buildings and narrow alleys. At its heart, perched on an extinct volcano, Edinburgh Castle is home to Scotland’s crown jewels. The Royal Mile, a steep street lined with traditional pubs, casual eateries, souvenir shops and small museums, runs from the castle to the Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s Scottish residence.

St Giles' Cathedral boasts a magnificent vaulted ceiling and ornate tombs, while the recently refurbished National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street is home to a wealth of rare and priceless artifacts. Delving below ground, a tour of Edinburgh's vaults reveals a subterranean world of forgotten chambers that once housed the city's poor.

While the Old Town is a fascinating destination at any time of year, it is particularly captivating in August, when performers flood the austere streets and the town comes alive with the sights and sounds of the Edinburgh Fringe and Festival.

My home is easily accessible by public transport.

- The nearest train station, Edinburgh Waverley is just 2-mins walk from the flat.
- You can also ride the city tram. The nearest tram stop, the Edinburgh Tram is 3-minute away on foot.

Edinburgh Airport is a 25 mins drive from the apartment.

Please note, there is scaffolding up around the outside of the building while maintenance work is carried out. This will not affect your stay.

This is a self check-in property and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the flat. You can check-in anytime of the day as long as you respect our standard check-in time.

Also, we charge £50 for each set of lost keys (security keys may cost more). For security purposes, there may be an additional cost to replace the locks. So, please keep your keys safe :)

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a £300 GBP smoking fee, at minimum.

We do not allow parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests. Should we receive sufficient evidence of such activity we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without refund) and may involve a security team to evict you. Any associated cost will be charged to you via your security deposit. Local authorities may also be present (if required).

Our Edinburgh Stay

After a couple minor hiccups on arrival, the property was excellent. The stairs up to unit were not for the faint of heart, especially with luggage. The windows overlook the Royal Mile so some sound but we didn't mind. Perfectly located for exploring Old Town with New Town just down the hill. Overall impression, absolutely perfect for those who want to be in the "heart of the experience of Old Town.

Many great things about this property and the people working there. It’s obvious they care and invest in the property. Hoping they can upgrade the chairs to be more comfortable. Would recommend for others.

Problems getting in

Getting access to the property was convoluted and confusing. We had to access another internet site and sort through advertisements to find what we needed. It still was difficult to find the door and use the key. Not the typical VRBO experience.

Old Town Flat

The flat in old town was in a good location and furnished nicely. Our immediate reaction was that the place was cute and would be a fun place to stay. However, the problem was the maintenance or lack of it with the management company. The hot water system kept shutting off, the washer/dryer was broken, dishes and utensils in the cupboard weren’t washed and sheets were missing for the futon. The maintenance company was not very helpful resolving our problems with the mechanicals.
