"Amazing hotel. My room was clean and very comfortable. The location was in Adams Morgan area- great neighborhood. I’d stay at the High Road again. Definitely recommend it if you don’t mind a small room. And I’m a senior so you don’t have to be a “kid” lol to enjoy the stay."

"The phone on our room didn't work to call the front desk, so we called the reservations desk to ask for toothpaste (we forgot it)and bar soap (wasn't in the bathroom). They sent toothbrush and toothpaste, but we got it sorted. The toilet paper holder fell off on the middle of the night, clanging loudly, so another call to the reservations desk and a few visits later, it was repaired. Overall, friendly helpful staff and good room.
Oh, pay attention to where your room is. The hotel spans an entire block so where you arrive and leave and the location of your room are important to note."
"I love this historic property! It has become my “go-to” when in DC. With an expansive terrace and beautiful gardens that overlook Rock Creek Park, it feels like an oasis resort within the city. And yet, it is only a short block from a red line Metro station, offering easy access to the rest of the city. Additionally, I believe it is the closest hotel to both the Smithsonian Zoo and the National Cathedral. The hotel is nearly 100 years old but quite well-maintained. On this last visit, our room did have an “old musty” smell, a singular distraction in an otherwise stellar stay. "
"Nice quiet hotel. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were big and comfortable. Area around the hotel was also nice.
Only issues we had was with house keeping, they would make the beds and clean the toilets but for some reason they would not pick up anything from the floor. "
"The Washington Plaza is an older property, but it’s exceptionally well maintained and spotlessly clean. The pool was a real standout—especially rare for the DC Metro area—and made for a relaxing break after sightseeing. The location couldn’t be better: just a short, easy walk to the White House and other major attractions. Plenty of great bars and restaurants are close by, so it’s easy to enjoy the city without needing a car."
