“Down the steep driveway with my trailer was a feat, but what welcomed us was a country property with fantastic views of the lake. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces set the atmosphere, and kept the children working and warm! The kitchen and lounge areas were great for our home cooked meals, plus the oil heaters to keep us warm of a night in the middle of winter. Having the pontoon was a convenience for our short term fishing boat hire, which we thank you for, though the lake was only at 52% we……

“Our stay was lovely. The cottage was so comfy and all the special touches made it 10/10. Freshly baked bread, continental breakfast (and eggs) even warm muffins on our last day. Maggie was delightful, and greeted us giving us her local knowledge and such a warm welcome.Beautiful birds on our verandah, comfy bed, great shower - everything we needed.”

“Was an amazing time”

“Location was everything, but we were let down by a number of issues with the cottage, which caused us nothing but frustration. It was tired inside and not clean enough and exterior was unkempt. There were a number of things we noted and have passed onto the host, things we didn’t expect for the money we paid for a 3 nights stay.”

“This property is beautiful. We so enjoyed the big deck with the view of the lake. And the a/c inside was essential owing to a very hot weekend. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of except for a reading lamp in the downstairs double bedroom ”

“A beautiful spot on the river in Jamieson. We enjoyed the evenings in front of the fire, listening to the sound of the river flowing past at the bottom of the garden. The place is clean and equipped with all the amenities we needed, and the communication with Jess was easy. The pub is a short walk and there's a courtesy bus to the brewery. The river is fast flowing and easily accessed from the property, which was great for our group of adults, but not recommended for young kids. ”

The kitchen was decently equipped for basic cooking, with essential appliances and utensils available. The property is located near the lake, and the view is absolutely beautiful—definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Overall, it was a comfortable visi.”
