“Our stay at Casa de Muranzel provided a perfect place for relaxation and exploring the village of Torreira. It was also a great jumping off place for exploring further afield… a short trip to Aveiro and one hour drive to Porto. We all loved coming back to the house for a swim in the pool! Pedro was a warm and welcoming host. We appreciated his information about exploring local sights and restaurants. We would definitely recommend his lovely house to family and friends!”

“Easy self check-in/out. The house comes with everything you could think of needing, and more! The house managers are very helpful and quick to respond/help. Short drive from beaches on the Atlantic ocean. Can drive to the tip of the peninsula and board the ferry to Aveiro, or drive around the lagoon to Aveiro (depending on ferry timing, can be faster to just drive there). Boat rides available. If you go to Aveiro, try and get a dinner at O Beirro restaurant! Great food and divine……

“The house with it's excellent facilities and beautiful garden is lovely: we all enjoyed the time we spent there. We hadn't hired a car as we stayed in Porto at the beginning and end of our holiday and had a wedding in-between. However, a car for a couple of days would have been useful as the local shop, whilst good, did not have all that we required food wise. The restaurant and coffee shop are worth a visit Mario is an excellent host and responded promptly when we contacted him.”

“We hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad hier. De locatie was veel beter dan ik had verwacht. We zaten echt in het centrum. 5 minuten lopen en je bent aan de bekende brug. Mooie zonsondergang daar meegemaakt. Heel proper en goed ingericht appartement. Goede airco. Enkel de zolderslaapkamer was vrij warm. Enig minpunt is de faciliteiten om kleding te wassen. Deur van wasmachine is kapot( moesten we openwringen met een vork) en het wasrekje hing half uiteen. ”

“Nos hemos alojado unos días en familia en Valongo. Paulo nos recibió y aconsejó sobre el lugar. Nos atendió muy bien. La casa está fenomenal. Es mejor que lo que se ve en las fotos. Muy bien equipada. El espacio exterior muy bien con una piscina pequeña pero muy agradable.Si tuviera que decir algo negativo, sería que hay perros en las casas que están al lado que ladran mucho.La casa y la atención de Paulo de 10.”

“Tudo estava exatamente como descrito no anúncio. A casa é muito ampla, equipada com tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia confortável, e com um excelente espaço exterior, que fez os deleites também aos nossos amigos patudos. “Our group of 13 adults enjoyed our stay in this roomy and updated VRBO. We used all 6 of the apartment units within the VRBO, which was very clean, well decorated, and comfortable. “We stayed for five days in October; the apartment had lots of space for the five of us. It is located close to the water and restaurants. The unit and the neighbourhood were both quiet. "The hotel is in good condition. The breakfast/dining area is nicely organized as well. The room is a bit on the smaller side though so we are lucky we packed light. The kettle was quite tiny, I mean it looks cute for sure but could be bigger.
The breakfast was so-so. While breakfast starts from 7:30 to 10:30am on weekdays and 7:30 to 11:30am on weekends, we were surprised that the warm breakfast items already ran out around 9am and the supposedly warm food was cold at times. The best item was the veggies, we love it a lot but you have to get there early because it always runs out!
We are gutted that we didn’t get the chance to try out the hotel’s restaurant during our stay. We initially planned to try it out on Saturday night but we only found out the restaurant was closed that evening… I think communication could have been better.
Overall, the reception and housekeeping staffs are pleasant and helpful. There was one housekeeping staff in particular (not sure about her name) but she always has a big smile on her face and was so cheerful, it was refreshing to see!"
