Schönes renoviertes Hotel für einen Städtetrip! Das Hotel an sich ist älter, aber alles wurde neu renoviert und ist modern. Alles sauber, nur in meinem Bad könnte man den Griff austauschen und den Gummi an der Duschkabine. Frühstück auch in Ordnung, nur gibt es nur 1x Salz und Pfeffer Streuer für alle, die am Buffet bleiben sollen - wie salze ich dann mein gekochtes Ei am Platz?

Insgesamt waren wir eigentlich zufrieden, kennen dieses Hotel schon seit einigen Jahren und kommen immer wieder gerne. Jedoch hatten wir dieses Mal ein Doppelzimmer mit einem sehr kleinen Bett, dass zudem auch noch an einer Seite an der Wand steht - sehr eng, keine Ablagemöglichkeiten für den an der Wand schlafenden. Das ist zwar für zwei Nächte o.k., war aber schon etwas eingeschränkter Komfort (vermutlich ist dieses Zimmer eher als Einzelzimmer deklariert). Am ersten Tag hatten wir für zwei Personen nur ein Wasserglas, am zweiten Tag schon gar keines mehr bekommen. Man konnte also noch nicht einmal ein Glas Wasser im Zimmer trinken!!! Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt, den das Hotel nur am Rande betrifft, ist die Tatsache, dass die Parktickets nur in Bar gezahlt werden können (man hatte uns beim Check-in leider nicht darauf aufmerksam gemacht, deshalb hat uns das etwas überrascht). Eigentlich ist auch das kein großes Problem, aber man muss es eben rechtzeitig wissen und vor allem ist das nun überhaupt nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Trotzdem werden wir beim nächsten Trip nach Essen wieder in dieses Hotel kommen, weil die Lage einfach unschlagbar gut ist.

The property is the former drab Hotel AROSA. The rooms are updated in a homey Nordic flair decoration. I did not opt for an in-house breakfast, as there are many places in the neighborhood that open earlier. I got basic but comfortable accommodation at a good price. I’d stay there again.

Die Unterkunft ist grundsätzlich weiterzuempfehlen. Die Zimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet und sauber. Ärgerlich war hingegen das Frühstück. Angeboten wird dieses in der Zeit von 7 Uhr bis 11 Uhr und kostet pro Person 14 Euro. Wir sind es aus anderen Hotels gewöhnt, dass bis zur Endzeit nachgefüllt wird. Dies war hier leider nicht der Fall. Wir kamen um 10 Uhr und mussten uns dann leider mit den Resten begnügen, welche sich scheinbar bereits seit 7 Uhr in der Auslage befanden. Entsprechend trockene Ränder hatte der noch verfügbare Käse zum Beispiel. Sehr Schade.
