This was a truly memorable getaway for our family. Grand Eagle was an amazing home -strikingly beautiful and equipped with everything your crewe could want for a vacation. We enjoyed the game rooms and theatre, the hot tub and sauna, the large fully-equipped kitchen and clean, comfy bedrooms. The view of mountains especially at sunrise was inspiring. We hope to return soon
This property was amazing! We had 7 couples stay here and the layout was perfect for a large group. We really enjoyed the patio area to relax and watch the sunrise/sunset and the game room was a lot of fun, too! Great location being up in the mountains with nice views and only a 15 minute drive to downtown. The property also had nice setup to cater food for a large group. We hosted a garden party dinner one evening and hired a chef to cook for us... worked out perfectly!
Our group of 16, 10 adults and 6 children, had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Grand Eagle. The theater room and game rooms were hits with all, as was the hot tub. The views are stunning, and we had a great view of a flock of wild turkeys walking by the house. The approach to the house is steep, narrow, and winding, and I would suggest using a low gear to get up and down the hill. It was a great base from which to explore Ashville, Biltmore, and Chimney Rock.
We were all incredibly pleased with the home- it was clean, well stocked and had great views. From hot tubbing to cooking in the spacious kitchen it was the perfect home for our groups needs. Definitely would recommend 10/10
Beautiful home, amazing views, perfect for families with kids
We had a lovely stay and the house was great, well equipped and the play rooms/arcade/movie theatre were a big hit with the kids! There were some minor maintenance issues but management was very responsive.
Our family came together to stay at Grand Eagle for my 50th birthday. The home had everything we needed for our group which included a baby, 3 toddlers, teen and pre-teen kids, a bunch of adults and my mother that is 75.
We are all looking forward to making our stay here a family tradition!
Our stay in this beautiful home in the mountains of North Carolina was a blissful experience for our entire family. We did not want to leave the home to do anything else. The team that manages it (Julia) was very helpful and quick to respond for all our needs. Thank you for an amazing experience!
We chose this house for a family vacation and our daughter's small wedding and couldn't have been happier! Julia our host answered my many questions about hosting the event. The house was beautiful and the views gorgeous! We enjoyed the hot tub, the sauna and the kids loved the game rooms. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Something for everyone for a great time!
We had a great long weekend stay at this beautiful house and property. The house was very clean and had all the expected supplies you would want or need. The amenities are great and it has a wonderful view. The driveway leading up could use a little work to fix some potholes. The property manager was very responsive to our communications.
We thoroughly enjoyed a 3-night stay at Grand Eagle, gathering with old friends to reconnect and relax. Everything was as promised - the house was super-clean, well-appointed, comfortable, fun and in a gorgeous setting, with LOTS of room to roam both inside and out. Complete privacy and quiet. We're lucky to live just an hour away, so our focus was on simply hanging out - eating, talking and enjoying good wine in front of the fireplaces, playing pool and the other arcade games for exercise, LOL. It was just what we hoped for and we're looking forward to visiting again.

A little run down not like the pictures a lot of things were broken but the view was beautiful
This house was amazing for our family Christmas! The house and property are exactly as described and perfect for a multi- generational family getaway. The house was well stocked with essentials. The kitchen had ample pots and pans and everything needed to accommodate a large number of people comfortably. The game rooms and amenities- sauna, hot tub, outdoor firepits were amazing. All of the rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and equipped with all necessary amenities. Property managers were quick to respond for inquiries and questions. Thank you so much for the lovely Christmas decorations- what a wonderful stay!
We rented the house to gather our family for a few days before his wedding in Asheville. The house is an easy distance to so much that Asheville offers and yet was perfect just for spending time together! There were plenty of the basic supplies like paper products all we had to supply was food!
Highlights included the rising Harvest Moon; rainbow after the stain which was perfect for family photos! Wild turkeys greeted us one morning. On another we had a bear stop by for a visit!
We enjoyed it and got so many compliments from friends that joined us our last night for dinner!
We planned a mountain retreat for hiking with 11 friends and family to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. My group was blown away with grandeur of the house and everything about this property! The scale, layout and amenities were perfect for our large group. We utilized every space in the house (except the kids game room and theater, unfortunately), both indoor and outdoor. We loved enjoying coffee and views of the sunrise over the mountains (so beautiful and relaxing), relaxing by the enormous fireplace at night, and sitting gas fire table at sunset. The beds and bedding were heavenly. Robes for every guest were a bonus! The house was well stocked in the kitchen for this culinary crew (more stemware and coffee mugs you could imagine) and they even had outdoor towels for the sauna and hot tub. The property was so peaceful that we didn't even find the need to leave and explore (of course we did - also amazing). We enjoyed treatments from message therapists at the house (one table was even set up outside because the weather was so beautiful), a yoga class at sunrise in the living room, and a private chef to make dinner in one night. As the host, I really enjoyed the benefit for the property's app that had all of the information about the property that was needed, and if I still had questions my answer was a text away within 15 minutes even during the evening on the weekend. Grand Eagle and Asheville provided us such a perfect getaway that we will never forget!
Living spaces were outstanding, large enough for a group, and space for individuals to get away when wanted. Views were spectacular! Outdoor dining space was great, as was indoor dining. Well equipped kitchen. Beds were great!
Ice maker malfunctioned and even when it worked, not nearly enough for a group in the summertime. We bought two huge bags. Arcade games need maintainance, as many did not work. Towels could be upgraded. Hot tub did not work initially until we were told location of special breaker. Sauna did not work; power was present but there was something else wrong with it. Most of our “trash” was recyclable. Is there a plan to provide recycling containers? Some cabinet/bifold hinges/tracks need attention. Loose flagstones on front walk could be a safety issue.
We would return in a flash, if we could. Less than 8 hours from our homes, everybody loved it. It’s a great place.
This home was on a mountain side. The scenery was beautiful. The ride up to the house the first time was a surprise. Dirt road that is single lane and all up hill. The only downer was that there are stairs. If you are a little handicap that would be a problem. There are stairs going into the living room that is connected to the other part of the house. Even though there are only three stairs you are always going up and down them. They blend into the floor so you have to be careful. One of the family did fall on them. The games are on two different levels. Some worked and some didn’t. They did try to fix them. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots, pans and dishes. Also people have left spices, oils, sugar and lots of other cooking ingredients. Found that is handy when you need a certain ingredient. The beds were one of the best we ever had. Super comfortable and the sheets were top grade. All in all, we had a great time.
The house is extremely private and has amazing mountain views. The pictures don’t do the home and property justice. The management was extremely responsive and helpful.
Our stay was amazing. The view and setting were unbelievable. We had so much fun playing pool and darts in the evenings, coffee outside on the patio in the mornings, 20 minute drive in to downtown. Uber drivers had no issues with the driveway, even though it was a significant climb up the mountain to get to the house. The hosts were so thoughtful and communicative. Such a great trip!
