The Pebblestone Cottage - Quiet Woodland Retreat
- Pebblestone Cottage has the warm, woodsy character of a traditional mountain retreat, with wood-paneled living spaces, a decorative non-functional stone fireplace and a long covered porch overlooking the grounds.
Set in the heart of 450-acre Fernstone Retreat, the cottage is surrounded by woods, water and plenty of room to wander. Spend the day exploring Ohiopyle and the Laurel Highlands, then come home, settle onto the porch and enjoy an evening where one of the best sounds is simply the quiet.
Inside, Pebblestone's three bedrooms, galley kitchen with a window-side breakfast bar, and comfortable living space create a welcoming home base for a couple or family woodland getaway. With a traditional connecting-bedroom layout and a separate bunk room, the cottage is especially suited to families looking to slow down and enjoy time together.
Other unique accommodations are tucked throughout Fernstone, but with 450 acres to spread out, the property never feels crowded.
Spend the day exploring. Then settle onto the porch and discover just how good almost nothing can sound.

We loved Pebblestone!
We weren't quite sure what to expect when we came across this property but right when we arrived we were immediately impressed with the quaint little property that Pebblestone is located in. We absolutely loved walking around the property with the snow falling all around and relaxing outside with a fire burning in the fire pit. Pebblestone was toasty warm inside and the beds were very comfortable. We were aware that it was well water that did have a sulfur smell, but we had brought enough water to drink and cook with so didn't worry about it at all. Highly recommended!

Feels Abandoned/ Bad Communication- But Fixable!
Hate to write a bad review on a property- and Im really just chopping this up to us having bad timing, crazy random weather situations etc.. The "resort property" this rental sits on is absolutely gorgeous, this one home itself just needs a manager check in. Clean inside, but no hot water- odd sketch items strewn about outside, feels too dark (add indoor lighting!) /abandoned. Shared Pool/Hottub wasn't useable. Tree blew down blocking entrance and usability (diff story - obviously uncontrollable). Bad communication during stay- BUT the company did realize and has remedied. So if reading this.. by the time you stay- it will hopefully be great.

Excellent stay, property, and staff
We loved our visit here. The property and area is beautiful and very relaxing. We talked to a few workers while there who were very helpful and friendly about any requests or needs we had. The house was cozy but comfortable and we enjoyed using the kitchen and grill. The fire pit is very nice and great to sit around in the evenings. We loved our time here and would definitely return.

Lovely property!
We came to ride the bike trail in Ohiopyle. The house was in a good location and a great place to relax before and after our bike ride. It was clean and comfortable for our group of 3 (plus dog). The property is very cool and we had fun exploring. We had a little trouble finding it at first because we did not realize it was part of Fernstone Retreat.

Beautiful grounds
We really enjoined them grounds and fire pit. The bed was comfortable. The only negative was the water. It was difficult to bathe in due to the smell. If not for that we would love to return.

Great cabin. Clean, smelled nice, warm and comfortable, plenty of TVs and good wifi, kitchen had plenty of cookware etc. The grounds was very pretty too. Only complaint was no BBQ grill, guess it was still too early in the year.

Weekend getaway
Such a clean, warm, and welcoming property. The cottage is a great location, with so much natural beauty on the property. The cottage has all the amenities you need for being home away from home. Just overall great place for the price.

It was very nice place, but after seeing it i felt the price was a little high. It has all these light switches and had no idea what they are for nothing came on. the address of the property is very unclear where it is. Loved the seclusion of the property.

Reviewer Comments:
Difficult to find because the address we were given was incorrect Access code we were given was wrong. Someone had to come to open the cabin for us. We did find 2 random socks left by other guests. Dirt and dead bugs behind a radiator and on the bedframe in the large bedroom. Biggest problem was the water! It smelled like sewage! When water was used it permeated the entire cabin and made you feel sick. Couldn't shower because of this so we had to buy bottled water and take sponge baths!
