"A very classy place, lovingly built by Paul and Joan, who live on the floor above the studio. Even better than the photos - very Conde Nast Traveller exclusive retreat. A large estate, 1.7miles up a very pretty, good side road. 40 minutes slow drive to Apia but the journey is so delightful that’s no problem. Car necessary. Lovely view. "Everything was as expected except the location. The map is very misleadingly. The apartment is not in Fugalei as advertised, but in Vailoa. We were looking forward to being near the market and an easy walk to town. Vaiola is neither of these. Beware and be prepared to taxi a lot."

"The property is lovely, everything you need to have a gorgeous getaway and holiday. The fale is beautiful and really nice and comfortable. The owners were at the property the entire time, even staying underneath the neighbouring property where our family were staying which was a bit awkward.
