"This host did not communicate anything!! There was no message at any time after reserving this rental to touch bases. No information about where the property is or how to access the property. They also did not respond to VRBO representatives. My family and I were left trying to find a suitable place to stay at the absolute last minute (after check in time) and it was during the holiday season so EVERYTHING was booked. We ended up staying in an undesirable tiny room. "

"Andy at the front desk was kind, professional, and found my sunglasses when I had misplaced them. I would highly recommend staying at this property when flying in to Liberia. The rooms were clean."

"There isn’t much to not like about this resort. It’s great for families, going with friends or even a work retreat. The bungalows are spacious and modern. The lighting is rather dim though which is hard for us older people! There are plenty of food choices and the buffet had a lot to choose from. The only negative food experience was the $99 wine pairing. It was truly horrible but everything else was so great, we didn’t remember that snafu for long. The staff were very professional and did their jobs well. Everything exuded luxury. The reliable shuttle service made you forget the property was huge. Super convenient. The beach and pools were definitely a highlight. I would without a doubt recommend this property to anyone."

"We had a very nice stay at Hotel Bosque del Mar. The location is excellent—right on the beach and close to everything we wanted to do. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the pool, while on the smaller side, was a nice place to relax. A special thank you to Benjamin, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming when we arrived to the hotel. The rest of the staff was professional, but they weren’t as warm or engaging. Overall, the beautiful beachfront location, large rooms, and relaxing atmosphere made for a great stay. We would definitely consider staying here again."

"The hospitality is fantastic at the property—the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, our room was upgraded, and the spa service was perfect. Where secrets can improve is the cleanliness and the upkeep of the rooms and property. It definitely seems a little dated for its rating, and the sofa and chair in our room was stained in a way that we didn’t want to sit in them. It was nice to have a quiet pool and a party pool but the water in both were so hot it felt like bathwater. We were also disappointed in the food quality and the lack of Costa Rican dishes on any of the menus."
