“First class as always, this is our fourth visit and we are already planning our next one. From a seamless check in with an amazingly warm welcome from Nicola and Cheryl who remembered us from previous visits. The room was excellent and the housekeeping team did a fabulous job throughout our stay, nothing is too much trouble. We are in the Pin bar and once again the food was lovely and all people we came across were helpful and polite. We had a visit to the Spa, where the beautiful Lilly……

“We had a good stay at Premier Inn Durham North overall. When we arrived, there was an issue with our booking payment. We had already paid through Expedia, but at reception we were initially told that the payment had not gone through and that we would need to pay the full amount again. The receptionist was not very friendly at first and said that this was not their problem, which felt quite stressful after a long journey. In the end, he made a phone call and we were given our room, so the issue……

“Beautiful hotel and grounds. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The ability to use the pool and spa were a wonderful added bonus. Staff were really helpful with regards to travel into Durham, helping with park and ride and taxis and also where to eat. Restaurant was charming and relaxing. The only thing that let it down was the noise. As our room was ground floor and backed out into gardens also accessed by the bar/restaurant, the noise levels kept me awake late at night with other……

“Good room. Clean. Instant hot water. Large double bed. However overlooked main A road so very noisy so had to shut windows. Made room very hot and stuffy. No fan Also pillows ridiculously large and very hard”

“Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Our family enjoyed the buffet breakfast too. Great value for a family on a budget.”

“I am going to celebrate my husband's wedding. The hotel is cosy and unique, it has a nice restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and a small library bar where you can chill with friends. The room is spacious and warm, we love this hotel.”

“Nice and helpful staff Overall the facilities are ok but the flushing of the toilet wasn't strong enough Not many options of restaurants around but you can try using deliveroo to get what you wanna eat ”

“Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling.”

“Overall, the room is warm and comfortable although it is relatively small, sufficient for move of one person. The bathroom is large and warm. One drawback is the location is not near to Durham town Center (35 -40 minutes walking distance) and go some slopes before reach the hotel. ”

“Close to city centre, good free parking. Quiet and dog friendly. Very comfy bed, lots of hot water. All you need from a lower cost hotel. Chris”

“The hotel itself was excellent, as were the staff. The attached restaurant however, was atrocious. The service was practically non existent. We had tea and (very nice) cake there in the afternoon (eventually), and when we turned up for breakfast the next morning, our tea dishes were still on the table. At dinner time we sat for fifteen minutes before having to go and find someone to take our order. Frozen chips took a hour to arrive. In the morning, despite arriving 15mins after breakfast was……
