We’ve pulled together all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be breezing through the airport and having a ball in Senec in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you’ll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you step off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don’t have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Layer yourself up in natural-fiber clothing and pack a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin. Pick a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as it’s possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the flight. Leave the stilettos and heavy hiking boots in your checked luggage.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good pair of compression tights or socks is also a wise idea.
