We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and enjoying Tuji before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by donning layers, and wear easy-to-remove footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
