"We had a family gathering over Christmas and this was the perfect place for us! The house was beautiful! It was clean, spacious, very comfortable and the kitchen had all the things needed to cook meals for a group.The great room (on the main level) was a wonderful place to sit and relax, read or visit and the downstairs was a fantastic place to play games and watch TV. "Loved the cleanliness of the property. The location was good. The breakfast was ok. When I went to get oatmeal it was empty. When I went to make a waffle, the waffle batter was empty. When I went to make hot tea, the hot water decanter was empty. They did refill each item promptly. Other than than breakfast was pretty good. We asked for additional 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths at the front desk. We received 2 bath towels and 9 wash clothes. Yes 9! But overall a nice place to stay and would stay again."

"The photos are lovely, but the experience of being there is so much more. We loved it! It was so peaceful and lovely. We watched deer families every night and saw a fox as well. So wonderful to see them enjoy the woods with no fear. There was easy access to town and Cacapon. The area has plenty of opportunities. We met our hostess, Patricia,and found her to be a lovely and helpful lady. What an enjoyable stay."

"It would be nice if the curtains in my room had been blackout curtains and would have scratched all the way across the window to eliminate daylight. It was a good thing. I had some tape and clothes pins in my carry-on with me. I eventually ended up taping the edges of the curtains to the wall and clothes pinning the Gap together between them. Also the room could do with some coat hangers. It does no good to have clothes bar without some sort of coat hangers to be available to hang things up on. Other than that the property was fine"

"Maybe the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. When I got to my room my air conditioner wasn’t working. After trying a couple times, the desk clerk moved me to an upgraded room. No questions asked. The rooms are spotless - honestly cleaner than some luxury hotels I’ve stayed in. It could use better mattresses and linens, but given the chain and class of hotel they were appropriate. I would stay here again."
