Apartment Giulietta in Florence by Mmega

Stylish vacation rental in Florence located in excellent position between the Duomo, piazza San Marco and Piazza Santa Croce. The building is a traditional Florentine residential palace close to the Accademia Gallery, Piazza Santissima Annunziata and many other major monuments of the city. Ideal for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing atmosphere in a quiet street, but very close to all of the major attractions that Florence has to offer.

The house is spacious, about 80 square metres (861 square feet). It is composed of two bedrooms, one with a king bed and a single sofa bed, and one with a single bed, a complete bathroom with shower, a large kitchen, and a living room with TV, dining table. Giulietta can comfortably host up to 4 people. The apartment is on the first floor, without elevator, and is equipped with Wi-Fi, independant heating and air conditioning.

Do NOT stay here

This was the worst place to stay. The pictures are incredibly misleading. It is dark and dingy. The shower head was covered in mold and the shower itself is tiny. I didn’t shower for the two days I was there because it was that bad. My husband showered once and the hot water lasted 15 seconds. The bed was caved in the middle because the springs were broken so it had no support. The bedding itself was so cheap and honestly just gross. It should not be qualified to be a VRBO listing. Location was not great and there is no view contrary to what the listing makes it seem. No coffee. Large fan didn’t work on any of the outlets. Light switches didn’t work half the time. It is clear there has been no maintenance done on this property and it needs to be completely redone.

Un appartement pas à la hauteur

La chasse d'eau ne marchait pas, le lit d'appoint a des lattes abîmées, il n'y avait pas de petites cuillères, il n'y avait pas d'indications sur les magasins du quartier ni sur le fonctionnement des appareils pas de chauffage possible alors que le soir et la nuit il faisait froid, pas d'indication sur les transports en commun ni sur quand et où déposer les poubelles! Une seule pièce éclairée par la lumière du jour. La personne qui nous a "accueilli" une fois récupérées les taxes s'est éclipsée sans donner aucun renseignement. Une location qui fait du tort à Abritel.

Will not be staying again - would not book

To begin with. The shower is broken. It barely works, if you turn it at all you lose all the pressure in the head or you ONLY get hot water or cold water. Not to mention the shower door doesn't close properly so it WILL flood the bathroom. It doesn't drain appropriately so the basin of the shower holds standing water. In general the facility was dirty and dingy. The second room is not actually a room but rather a closet. While we were here we found bed bugs on our things. Out of their control but worth mentioning is the fact it is right down the street from a school so it's very loud and the street is very active at all hours so forget sleeping well.

Very nice property at the edge of the central district.

We really enjoyed this light and airy apartmento. Clean and comfortable. The washer was a bonus, as we had already been travelling for three weeks. The only downside was a LOT of walking, as the nearest taxi stand was near theEnglish cemetery. Would stay again if I get to Florence again.

Promesses du propriétaire non tenues malgré un mail de confirmation quant à la possibilité de déposer nos bagages à l'appartement dans la matinée. De plus nous avons attendu devant la porte malgré 3 messages.... Par ailleurs les literies sont complètement "défoncées" ; une honte compte tenu du prix de la location, sans parler des appareils electriques (seche cheveux , grille pain ....) que nous n'avons pas pu utiliser par manque d'adaptateur......

Not what it seems.......

Sadly the photos on the website bear no relation to the reality of this apartment. I was unaware Instagram filters were available for photos on the website. The apartment is dark and drab. The beds were the most uncomfortable that we have ever slept in and we have stayed in many properties throughout Italy and the world. The pillows were so old they no longer functioned as they had decomposed and were blobs of stuffing and very unhygienic in these Covid times. There was not so much as a dishwasher tab or washing up liquid to wash up or a cloth. Just to leave enough for 4 nights is surely not too much to ask. The soap and other toiletries were equally pitiful but we had brought our own. We were 30 mins late to the Property as there was a taxi strike and we had to work out how to get to the property but no concession was given and we had to pay a €20 surchage which, whilst on the website, seemed very harsh in the circumstances. The location was good with an easy walk to the centre of the city and a delightful cafe nearby for breakfast and excellent tratorria down the road for evening meals. Just overall not a very pleasant experience and I would not be recommending it any time soon.
