Home away from home, in the heart of Florence
Our family traveled through Italy for 2 weeks and Florence was our favorite place - and this apartment was a big part of that.Check in - Dimitri met up right when we got off the train. We were early so they were still cleaning but we were able to leave our luggage and receive instructions on the unit.Apartment - there is a small lift (perfect for luggage and my 80 yo mom) but it's only a couple flights of stairs up so the rest of us took the stairs. We rented all 3 of their apartments since we had 13 people and I HIGHLY recommend renting all 3 for a large group. There is an access gate with a hallway for all 3 apartments so we kept the 3 apartments open to allow our party to go between rooms, and used the access gate to stay private. The apartments have everything you need (washer, drying racks, dishwasher, oven, etc.) They also provided extra coffee, milk, sugar, and some treats.Location - the location is everything. There is a well-stocked grocery store 2 blocks away. It is down the street from the Duomo plaza. Walking distance from the train. Lots of shopping (and gelato and pastries) close by.
