Excellent! Andrea was very accessible and helpful throughout our stay - from the days leading up until after we left. The apartment was terrific - very well appointed and comfortable. Spacious, nice beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were all great! The location is perfect - close enough to the Ponte Vechio but also far enough away from the tourists. Perfect! I would return and also recommend!

This apartment was truly our home away from home, you couldn’t ask for a better location! Right next to the Pitti Palace, a taxi stop, extremely walkable to the Ponte Vecchio and across the bridge for shopping and tours. Within one minute great restaurants, bakery, only five minutes to a small grocery. Our two older teens and my husband and I enjoyed this unit immensely! Communication with the host was wonderful, the kitchen was great and just what we needed. The very tiny shower in the master bedroom is unique I will say! But we made do, and the other bathroom worked great for my husband and my two daughters. The decor and the ambience of this unit is so incredibly unique and beautiful! We used the washer many times, very easy to use and line dried on the balcony. The three flights of stairs were a lot at the end of the day, but very doable! I would stay here again and again highly recommend!

Large place. Washrooms ad usual are the only issue. There is a strange window looking into the one shower at an awkward location. Also you have to be under 5'8" to use the shower in the smaller bathroom. Location is fantastic and everything else was great

The apartment was exactly as pictured; beautiful and spacious. The location is great, if you take a right out of the apartment the Pitti Palace is right next door. Continue down the street and you arrive at the Ponte Vecchio bridge. In between there are plenty of restaurants, stores and gelato. If you take a left and a right you are in piazza Santo Spritio with more restaurants. There is a grocery store to the left about 5 minutes away. The location is great! The host was very helpful and responded quickly. I would have given it all 5 stars but I didn't care for the late charge for checking in after 7pm. It was probably listed somewhere on the site but I didn't appreciate the extra charge. Besides that everything else was perfect.

We actually stayed in the apartment next door as this one apparently had a leak. Great location near Ponte Vecchio and accommodations were just what we needed. I will note that the bed in our actual apartment was very hard and I slept on the couch the second night. Other than that, a lovely building and assuming our original apartment would have been great too!

Great sized apartment

Cons - only one shower was really working well. Pros - everything else. good location, a few flights of stairs may be difficult with a lot of luggage. But the size of the living room, just great. It allowed the teenagers to not be on top of each other and have some room to spread out.

The location is terrific, the apartment spacious and well decorated. However, upon our arrival we encountered various problems: first a cockroach situation with multiple roaches in the kitchen and even in the sofa bed. Management indicated that this is a seasonal problem and the insects probably entered the unit through the drains after a recent fumigation. The AC unit of the main did not function properly even after we notified management and they came to fix it. I have stayed with VRBO for many years and this is the first time that I have encountered roaches. Hard to stomach for such a pricey property.

This 2nd floor appt is just perfect. Cozy, comfortable and great for a family of 4. Communication was good, helpful, in person check in. Location was great. Close to everything but far enough away from the city center. My boys loved this place. Was a little cautious from previous reviews but had no issues and was a great visit!

Wonderful Time in Florence

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Florence. The apartment feels nice and homey. There were a few too many references to New York for my taste, but that was easily forgiven. The location was amazing and the apartment easily accessible. I'm a big guy, but the stairs are wide and didn't feel like too much of a burden.As mentioned by others, the one bathroom is a little odd and the "upper" shower is little bit short if your tall but I was OK at 5' 11". The tub shower has a slant because it's really meant to be a tub so takes some getting used to.We waited longer than we should have to try the pizza place downstairs. They were very nice and the food was good.

The property was as described and suited us perfectly. We knew it would be close to many of the sights we wanted to see but we had no idea the neighborhood would have so many great restaurant and shops! Highly recommend!!

Lovely place.

We loved the location a bit away from the crowds. The interior is well above normal for apartment rentals in Florence. Everything worked, check in and out was easy. The only knock is the second bathroom which is quirky at best. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Excellent apartment and location, terrible communication

TL;DR It’s a lovely and comfortable apartment in a great location, but the hosting by SweetStay leaves much to be desired. As to the most recent review where a guest alleges that their wallet was stolen while staying there, and that it was an inside job, I was eventually told by the person who checked us in that these people did not actually lock the door with a key when they left, they simply let it latch behind them, which makes it very easy for anyone to enter with a simple tool or credit card. In Italy all locks are very strong, with long bolts that have to be turned multiple times to secure, both from the inside and outside. I was also told by the management in a message that they had changed the lock out of an abundance of caution, and indeed I could see that the lock was new and it seemed very secure. In addition to 4 bolts across the lock area, there is a bar that goes into the ceiling and floor when you engage the lock. We felt very secure inside, and also felt safe leaving our belongings there. That being said, I will agree with the same reviewer that communication with the host (agency) is absolutely terrible. We never received any sort of check-in instructions and I was messaging them up to the very moment of check-in for instructions on how to enter. The phone number is indeed a fax machine. Multiple messages went unanswered and there was never any follow up to see if everything was ok. If the real owner of the apartment reads this, I recommend new management.

Do not stay here: Inside job - THEFT

We were so excited to find this place, but warn you NOT to stay here. Someone entered with a key while we were out, fished through all our belongings, stole my wallet and some other small items. The host did not respond to our texts for almost 24 hours, and was entirely skeptical of our situation and did NOTHING to help us. Also, the host's phone number was connected to a fax machine. We were on our own to deal with police in a foreign language and VRBO customer service continues to leave our issue unresolved. We felt unsafe and transferred to a hotel at our own expense. Two weeks later, still no word from host and VRBO is still "investigating."

Fabulous in Florence

Apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable for our family of 3. Great location and very easy to walk to sites and around town. We loved being on the other side of the Arno for quiet, afternoon relaxation. Good restaurants, roof bar nearby was a big plus! Would love to visit again

Charming apartment in great location

My family of four (two adults, one teen, one tween) stayed here and were very pleased. It is a charming apartment with touches of quaint Italian living but with modern amenities. In reading prior reviews, I had some concerns prior to arrival (hot water issues, noise) but I can honestly say none of those things were an issue. All four people were able to take showers without hot water running out, all were able to charge multiple electronic devices at the same time without any power issues, and the apartment was quiet for sleeping. It is RIGHT next to Pitti Palace which was so convenient. During the day you hear the bustle of the area below but at night it quiets down. The location is less than a 5 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and the Ponte Santa Trinita bridge, which puts you right in the heart of the upscale shopping area. We walked to the Uffizi, maybe 10 minutes, the train station, 20 minutes, and the Galleria dell'Accademia (David). The A/C was a blessing and worked great and we used the washing machine several times. The only thing I will say as a word of caution is if you have mobility issues, you do have to go up three flights of narrow depth stairs, and in one room, the bathroom has steps up from bedroom. The shower there is very small, think phone booth size. So if you are taller than 6’ and/or a heavier individual, showering might be tough. But the other bathroom is quite roomy. Our host was great and communication was a breeze. Very pleased with stay!

Christmas Week in Florence

Our family of two adults and two fully-grown teenaged children had a lovely stay at this flat in Florence. The location was perfect - a short walk to the Ponte Vecchio yet so much more quiet and peaceful than the busiest parts of town. We were never more than a 15-minute walk no matter where we wanted to go. The hosts were quite easy to communicate with and were very responsive to our infrequent queries. We would stay here again and would recommend it highly to any and all.

Ok - great location but not great service

Location is amazing for historic Florence. Spacious and a great launching pad. That said, it feels like you are renting from a company that bought too many units and isn’t keeping them up or providing great service. You book on VRBO, but then communicate & reconfirm multiple times with “sweetstay”, pay on a separate third party payment site, get greeted by a person who isn’t especially verbose / is not the owner, and then get support from a customer support line on WhatsApp that runs across their entire property portfolio & doesn’t reply. Sweetstay sends stern emails demanding payment before the due date / claims there were prior communication when nothing was sent. Floors were dirty, pots/pans broken, had to buy our own dish soap and sponges to do dishes, and the water heater broke multiple times (required manual reset). On the water heater, when I messaged the greeter he told me to contact sweetstay on their website (which one? VRBO? The payment platform?). When I contacted their support line, I got an automated response that it was after hours and someone would reply the next day - no one did for the remaining several days. Also, windows are broken / can’t open so it’s dark, there were ants / moths in the unit, and the tap water smells a bit like gas (possibly the fritzing gas water heater). Again, great location. But, it feels like renting from a faceless robot that is trying to minimize investment and service.

Not a good experience for us—no power or hot water

Although we read the info regarding the ZTL restrictions the guidance implied that we could double park to unload luggage. In fact we inadvertently entered the ZTL based upon this. The closest parking is a 10 minute walk. How can you do this if you have luggage or elderly or young travelers? You can’t! We had to hire a cab to drop our luggage off. Lorenzo was great to help but there are 3-4 flights of stairs to get to the apartment (with your luggage and elderly traveler). Next issue was no hot water in the apartment and no response for almost a day. Finally, the power went out! We only had on the apartment a/c and washer running. There were no instructions on limiting the washer. We first emailed the email provided to us. We finally got a hold of Lorenzo who directed us to the fuses which were outside the front door. We would have never found them and were in a pitch black apartment without a/c on a very hot Florence night. Two smaller issues were very uncomfortable pillows and not even a single coffee pod or directions on where to buy them or how to use it. Honestly just not a great experience at all. We’ve stayed at several VRBO’s and this is not one we would recommend. I am planning on requesting a partial refund due to no hot water and no power.
