The hotel was centrally located near Republic Plaza. Was able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Room was very nice. Asked for a quiet room away from elevators which they handled for us. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast was sit down and order which was a nice change from other self serve that we experienced. Overall a nice hotel

The hotel is beautiful. We checked in early to find out we had been assigned 302 across from the elevator which according to the map of the floor as the noisiest and the smallest room. We asked to be moved and the desk said they would “try”. Sorely disappointed.

La Gemma is a beautiful property. The entire staff was professional, friendly, courteous and extremely helpful whether it was for transportation or restaurant recommendations or just directions. We had a two room suite and it was lovely. Our son was thrilled to have his own king size bed and bathroom. The location was in the nicest shopping district. We were there during one of the hottest weeks this summer. The a/c was not the coolest of all the hotels we stayed in but we requested two fans and couldn’t be happier.

Absolutely stunning property! This is truly an amazing place to stay; it is extremely modern and beautiful, the rooms are jaw-dropping (especially the green marble bathrooms) and the hotel, from top to bottom, looks as if it’s straight out a magazine. The à la carte breakfast was delicious and served to perfection. Well worth the money spent to enjoy a beautiful stay here. We will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to our family and friends! Note: The house manager Gian Luca was extremely friendly and welcoming and ultimately made our stay unforgettable

During my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at an exceptional 5-star boutique hotel located in the heart of the city. The hotel had only been operating for about 5-6 months, but it felt like it had been there for years. The staff was extremely accommodating and responded promptly to any requests I had. The interior designer had done an impeccable job decorating the common areas and rooms. I had the opportunity to stay in both the "superior" room and the suite, both of which were decorated with excellent taste.

is the property beautiful? yes. Is the staff accommodating enough to warrant the price of a stay? Absolutely not. Will staff be there to welcome you upon arrival and perhaps help get your luggage thru the door? Nope. Will they watch from behind the counter as you struggle? Yep. Will the very nice bartender recommend you a restaurant only for you have the front desk tell you no they can't help make you a reservation because they know that restaurant is all booked? Yes. Will you then call that same restaurant yourself and secure a reservation no problem? Again, yes. Can you find better service elsewhere at a fraction of the cost? Almost certainly yes. But hey I'm sure your Instagram pics will be cool.
