Formula 1 celebration at the castle.

Absolutely beautiful architecture. Unique gorgeous rooms. The staff are very helpful and kind. The restaurant and service are +10! Treated with much care. Wine cellar tour and history of the castle. Wonderful stay after a day at the Red Bull Ring Formula 1 races.

Brilliant staff and restaurant

We went to visit the nearby area for hiking and skiing. The staff was great, very attentive and they remembered our food allergies from the very first breakfast. I highly recommend the restaurant if the hotel.

Flot hotel.

Flot romantisk hotel, dog i den lidt dyrer ende. Vi havde intet at sætte på hotellet, service, personale var i top. Der kom dog en lidt øv oplevelse ved udtjekningen. Jeg havde forhåndsbetalt, som altid, hotellet mente dog ikke at dette var tilfældet, hvorfor jeg skulle betale for overnatningerne. Et par dage senere blev der jo så trukket dobbelt, men hotels.com var gode til at få styr på det.

Nice hotel in the Hinterland

Schloß Gabelhofen is part of Projekt Spielberg - a concerted effort to make the Red Bull Ring a worthwhile year round destination. The hotel is nicely appointed but our room was too small for comfortable sitting accommodation. Unfortunately there is not enough ventilation in the bar to prevent heavy cigar smoke to permeate public areas all the way to the second floor. Dinner at the restaurant was good but lacked the finesse and presentation normally associated with such a highly recommended place. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Hotel in ruhiger Lage, das aufgrund der klassischen Gemäuer einen gewissen Charme besitzt. Der Standort des Hotels ist verkehrstechnisch günstig gelegen, die Stadt ist fußläufig erreichbar, die nahegelegene Therme ca. 400 Meter entfernt. Der Zimmerkomfort ist sehr gut, die Ausstattung ist modern und geschmackvoll, wobei es den Anschein hat, dass darunter die Funktionalität ein wenig leidet. Das Frühstückbuffet bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas, kann jedoch nicht als herausragend beurteilt werden. Auf individuelle Wünsche wird bereitwillig eingegangen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und übertrifft zuweilen dessen Professionalität. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, bis zum nächsten Mal.

THE place to stay in Spielberg

Great stay. Truly elegant with outstanding staff service. AC was very weak and not functioning in our assigned room but hotel manager gave us additional rooms to compensate. Ate dinner here and it was superb. Leisurely experience in beautiful garden setting. Rest here is like living in another, more relaxed era. Wonderful linens comfortable mattress nice toiletries and many small touches make this the place to stay in Spielberg.

Charmigt med excellent restaurang

Hamnade på hotellet av en slump. Är ett ombyggt slott, så rummen är inte vanliga standardrum. Fick ett charmigt litet rum i ett av tornen. Kan varmt rekommendera restaurangen i hotellet. Bra service, trevlig meny med lagom mycket att välja på. Mycket god och vällagad mat. Fick en hjortstek som är en av de godaste jag ätit! Hotellbaren har ett bra utbud av olika drycker och även där kunnig och serviceminded personal. Frukosten höll god kvalité. Allt som allt ett bra och prisvärt hotell!

Wonderful experience

This is more than a hotel; this is an unforgettable experience. Staying in a 14th century castle is wonderful and romantic. We were looking forward to our stay and it exceeded expectations. The room, the service and the breakfast were excellent. It was quite a contrast sitting outside between the castle walls enjoying a drink and reflecting on its 500+ year history, and then being inside this beautifully renovated castle melting historic cachet with ultra modern amenities. Our dinner experience also added to the enjoyment. Definitely worth going back.

Romantic, enjoyable Hotel that caters for all

Situated in the middle of the Steiermark countryside, this Hotel is a wonderful place for those looking for a quieter, relaxing stay. The castle itself is enough to please guests looking for a different side to travelling, the recently refurbished reception is an interesting mix of old and new, and the castle accommodates for the modern traveller (Free WiFi, free Electric bikes ). And if the castle and surrounds are not enough to satisfy, the Thermal pool a short walk behind the Hotel.

Schloss Gabelhofen, Autriche: nature et histoire

Un vrai château remontant à 1443, rénové pour le confort des clients avec le sens de l'accueil des autrichiens. Les environs sont riche d'histoire (ruines de châteaux forts, ville de Judenburg, mines de charbon de Fohnsdorf à visiter) et de plaisir: les thermes sont la porte à côté; la nature également avec des possibilités de sport et de balade..la montagne n'est jamais loin, seulement l'aéroport... le confort de la literie laisse à désirer, cependant, et il faut préférer le premier étage...

Hotel Gabelhofen

Sehr schönes Hotel, super Ambiente, Frühstück spitze, Personal sehr freundlich ABER das Bett ist eines der schlechtesten in welchen ich je geschlafen habe. Die Matratzen waren beide durchgelegen und in der Mitte des Betts verläuft ein Querträger der dann ins Kreuz drückt, d.h an gutes Schlafen ist nicht zu denken (ging auch meiner Frau so). Wären die Betten ok würde ich abgesehen vom meiner Meinung nach zu hohen Preis das Hotel jedem empfehlen. So aber kann ich es nicht empfehlen da der Hauptzweck eines Hotels nicht erfüllt wird.
