Family weekend

Beautiful place to stay in winter. Lots of quality family time playing board games, feeding the animals and having a good laugh. Host was very helpful and informative. We will definitely come back and stay longer.

A rustic pleasant surprise

More space than we had predicted for a large group and very centrally located… whilst still having that feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is not “glamorous” accommodation by any means, so if you want to the more “rustic, lived in” style, this is perfect.

The perfect family holiday

The Straw House was perfect for our family holiday. We fell in love with the character of the home. The property had all the facilities we could possibly need. Great place for children with loads of space and local farm animals to visit. Would highly recommend for family holidays and adult groups looking for peace and tranquillity.

Tranquility at it's best. Nature lovers paradise. Close to Margaret River and surroundings. Near beautiful Reg Gate beach. The house was amazing and very interesting. The delightful property owner was super helpful.

What an awesome place for a multi generational family stay! Kids, teens and adults alike all had a wonderful relaxing time at the straw house! Ping pong was a hit! Had a read in the book about the history of how it was built - wow! How cool to be able to stay in a place literally built from straw with a whole lot of love! Definitely the kind of place to come together with family

A great weekend getaway

The Straw house was our first experience renting a property ourselves as young adults, Carolyn and Mark were such lovely people and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. Perfect getaway

Our second visit, this time with family, friends and dog! Something for everyone but the ping pong table was a winner for all and the huge kitchen /diner with the log fire was a great place to all hang out together. Well equipped, comfy beds, beautiful peaceful surrounds and not too far from everything. Thanks again, we’ll be back!

Family celebration

Property had enough room for 8 sleeping areas so for 12 of us including 3 singles we each had our own space. 3 bathrooms with a toilet and shower was perfect. Kitchen well equipped for large groups and we had all our meals there. Large dining and 2 living areas plenty of space to relax. Books and games also available. Surrounding farmland and bush makes it easy to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommend

Wonderful and relaxing

The Strawhouse is a bit quirky, but spacious. All rooms have places for clothes and places for suitcases/bags. With 2 living rooms, a outdoor games room with table tennis table and a big dining room everyone is happy. The kitchen had more than was needed and I loved the big stove and oven.
