"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "Having booked a four person room, I was very surprised on arrival to find that out accommodation was actually a two floor cottage with a kitchen. Very comfortable and spacious. Two televisions. One separate double bedroom on first floor. All lovely. Breakfast was excellent and not a buffet but plentiful. Overall highly recommended. Staff were all very pleasant also. If you are lucky you can park right outside your cottage otherwise there is a carpark very near."

"Everything was good from the start... warm friendly welcome. The room was large and spotlessly clean. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent in quality and price. The breakfast was freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. In all it was quite and peaceful, ample parking area, will return."

"A lovely location and great facilities. Great staff and bar area had a lovely atmosphere. Morning breakfast was delicious with attentive staff. Rooms were very quiet, hotel had a lift which is very convent as the steps are steep to the 2nd floor. The rooms are a little tired and the bathroom window privacy screening is in desperate need of replacement. Kettle is completely scaled up and cups were also dirty so this needs to be addressed. Ok Value if the above were dealt with then it would be good value. I would stay here again even so as the bed was very comfortable and overall had a lovely stay."

"Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. All the staff were very polite and the check-in staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The room was very clean with a lovely view across countryside. We stayed on a Sunday so had a roast dinner in the evening which was very high quality and a very generous portion. We got 30% of as my wife has a blue light card. This doesn't apply to drinks but includes food and accommodation so don't forget to bring yours if you have one. There is a good size free car park. You just have to enter your registration number on the tablet at reception. If you are an ale drinker they have Nethergate from near by Long melford that was superb. I would stay here again without hesitation."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the restaurant staff. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the extra large, fluffy white towels in the bathroom. We slept very well. It was very peaceful. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were good. The breakfast buffet was superb."

"The White Horse Inn is a gem! We were allocated one of the "shepherd huts" which is designed to look a bit like a gypsy caravan. It's somewhat compact, but has all the modern features one requires. Special mention must be made of the air conditioning -- it was mid-summer when we stayed and the outside temperature was in the high 30s. We slept soundly in the cool cabin. The full English breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. We would gladly stay there again if we're in the area."
