“Casa Acero was amazing. It felt like home. The kitchen was stocked with seasonings and condiments. We cooked most nights and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard with wood burning it the outdoor stove. The furniture was very unique. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We will definitely return to Casa Acero.”

“This property is amazing - a very memorable place to spend my 50th birthday. Very spacious with accommodation over 3 floors- my sons were delighted with the flight simulation and complete cockpit- very cool. Plenty of seating on all 3 levels and outside so lots of options for hanging out and also easily able to give each other space. Great views of the mountains in daylight and the stars at night. Very well equipped- particularly appreciated the wet bar, ice machines and of course the WiFi. A……

“If your going to Fort Davis, Texas you probably are going for the observatory. Mark’s property was super convenient for this. We enjoyed the late night Star party and the night drive back was easy. House is clean and furnished nicely. I’m glad I had my sleep mask as I like dark room; just note the Sun does come in through the shades. Their is a tasty store / Deli super close that we enjoyed. Great back patio area with fire pit was enjoyable . Very quite area . We always prefer private properties……

“We loved our stay at Prairies Cottage. The property was clean and comfortable, check in information was communicated early and was very easy! We didn’t have tons of time to use the backyard but the kids explored it and it looked like it would be awesome if you have kids and want to be sure they are safe and having fun outside while you make dinner (or while eating dinner!). We have three kids and they loved all sleeping in the one room together! Made an excellent place to stay while we explored……

“We had a lovely several days visiting Fort Davis and enjoyed our stay at the Casa Hermosa. Communication with Matthew was clear and prompt. The house was very comfortable for two couples and we enjoyed some time out on the front porch. Very convenient for our trips to McDonald Observatory and Davis Mountain State Park. Would definitely stay again.”

“Alpine is so walkable and the location of El Goathead was perfect for walking to restaurants and downtown. The house was perfect for three adults. We could walk to the grocery story which has an excellent deli. We enjoyed this perk after long days of driving and touring Big Bend. Great stay.”

“We stayed here to travel to the eclipse and experience Marfa. The house is small but comfortable and had everything we needed. The steam shower is a must (especially in the dry desert). An absolutely enjoyable stay.”
