"I had The Nut Cabin all to myself-very comfortable with all the needed essentials. The hike up to the cabin from the parking lot was a challenge but the owners have a well maintained and fully lite gravel pathway that gave my legs a workout every day💗 I highly recommend this fabulous cabin -it was a wonderful weekend! I look forward to staying there again!"

"We loved this property! There was a lot of room including 3 full bathrooms and two balconies. The downstairs balcony was screened in. There are a lot of stairs so if you have anyone who doesn’t do well with stairs this may not be the property for you. There was a cute fire pit, but we didn’t get to use it due to rain. The home was clean and I loved the back porch area. I sat out there for hours just staring at the lake & mountain view. The gas station is in walking distance and there is a dollar general about 3 miles away for a quick store run. Getting to Boone is only a 10 minute drive. "The cabin was so nice! Great views, very clean, well stocked. It was a bit farther than I realized but that’s on me. We were never able to find the cut through road. We did stop at the “private property” sign and turned around on our way in. I looked at the reviews and saw that we could use that road. It’s a big time saver."

As some other commenters have mentioned, the driveway is a bit intimidating, but slow and steady will get you there without any issues. "Overall I'm glad we picked this hotel. The staff at the hotel were super nice! The floor in our room was a bit squeaky, but we barely heard anything from the floor above us. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the sauna felt good. They had a heavy snow early on the day we checked in, so we were glad to have a lower level to park in!"
